There was a way to do that on my wife's Triumph TR4, but no way was I going to pursue that.

 

The crank for a Seven would have to be really long...

I think the tractor had a Triumph engine, but I'd have to look that up.

Both the Triumph cars and the Ferguson tractor had versions of the Standard engine.  Standard designed the engine for both uses from the beginning.
