MV8,

I should be paying you a consulting fee!

I am attaching a picture of my installation which has only one relay, I’m sensing from your diagrams that I might need two?2A2D8F3F-480F-4405-B72D-8BE6601FB28F.thumb.jpeg.9a7b5f16f428de69dc87dc7d4c0f28d3.jpeg.

I’m also attaching a picture of Derale wiring instructions (diagram #8) for comment. This diagram indicates only one relay. There are TWO 12V Switch Power or Thermostat connections, can both of these be connected to the heater fan switch?7C1CFEE5-EA74-4767-A1B9-A8D10FB5CB69.thumb.jpeg.a2cadfa0a473923a5fc01e8284ae971f.jpeg

Thanks for the pic.

The heater circuit cannot handle the amps to wire it per the diagram for both speeds. You need another relay in order to use the heater control for both speeds.

I would have put the relay(s) near the fan for less wire to run.

If you have no existing hole for another switch and would like to return control of the heater blower, I'm sure a removable mounting tab could be added under the dash panel yet over the tunnel for a hidden switch that you can't kick or hit with your knee, such as a 3-position toggle.

MV8,

Thanks for the clarification about the need to a second relay, I will pickup a second relay to finish my project.

 Thanks again!

This topic is golden.  Too bad the subject doesn't mention the heating discussion (at this time).

all this valuable information could be better located in the future.

My input here is only to share that when I took my Xflow water pump off,  I found it to be 100% clogged with congealed goop.

If you haven't had the pump off and the cooling jacket flushed, might be the thing to do.

ACK! Long life coolant strikes again!

I've used it before and it helps as a band aid, but I'd much rather use green 50/50 with water and make other changes to improve cooling if needed.
