Brooklands style windscreens

Curious about peoples experience with the Brooklands style dual windscreens as opposed to the conventional larger single screen.

I would guess buffeting might actually be less with the Brooklands arrangement because you don’t have the air tumbling around the larger screen, but I have no idea if that’s true. Also, eye protection seems like it would be wise with the smaller screens, but what do people with experience say?

I have been running Brooklands screens for several years and I love them.  I think the appearance is great and, yes, there is much less turbulence than with the stock windshield.  I do use eyewear of some type for safety’s sake.

The wind hits you straight on, which I find less bothersome than the tornado effect of the full windscreen.  Real safety glasses are a must with either set up.  Just for fun, here is a photo of State Safety Inspection Day.  My inspector doesn't check much, but I don't want to be insulting by showing up with no wipers.  They come off as soon as I get home.

I have read a few times that many prefer the aeros over the "airbrake".

I have a set that came with my car but they came off first thing.  they were attached directly to the scuttle, which was very "used" by a previous racer owner.  I was going for pretty and the classic look so new scuttle and full wind screen and the wipers went on.

I can tell you the full scren buffetting is punishing if your ears happen to be in the turbulence.  Therefore side screens and ear protection for me.  I would prefer this to a rock or shard to the face any day.

I changed over from the full windscreen to the Brooklands due to the buffeting, even with the side screens. When on the freeway, I always wear a full face helmet. It seems a bit "dorky" but I regularly end up with a significant bug splat. That's been the worst of it so far but one day, it will assuredly be a stone or such.

I have the Brookland's also, I like the look, resembles the old school of the 30s race cars .  To me, and my opinion only  the full wind screen looks out of place on the 7, but thats just me. And after all bug juice isn't that bad tasting . LOLOL, I use a set of WW2 aircraft goggles repos . they look good and do a great job.
