Caterham Parts

I ordered and paid for a part (plate number light) mid June 2024and can get no response from Caterham Parts. com.

I have sent them several emails asking for a tracking number or for any further action and so far absolutely no response.

Have I been scammed? Anyone have any advice or experience with this Company?

Do you mean caterhamparts.co.uk or caterhamparts.com as written above?  The latter doesn't resolve for me, but the former is the parts department for Caterham and is legitimate.  If it is Caterham, are you sending an email or messaging them through your account page they should have required you to create as part of the online order process?  I've found them pretty responsive to their order messaging system.

Based on the timing, it looks like that was sent recently.  I'd give them 5 business days then pile on if there is still no answer or give them a call.  At least you know you aren't the victim of a scam.

Caterham parts are so bad with their service that Chris at Redline has become one of the biggest suppliers of their own parts instead of them and he's very prompt. 

 

Doesn't help you now but for the future ...

Yep this, discount mg rover spares, elise parts, QED Motorsport etc. There are a few to get what you need.

 

Kit car direct is also good for some of the misc parts, sevens and classics will ship to the US.

I'm well intended,  but very blunt.

The screen shot you provided to John cannot possibly answer the question.

We are only assuming you have dealt with Caterham Cars.

They may be slow to respond,  but as for me, they have always gotten me the part.

Something may be held up in customs.  Who knows.

Remember that many UK suppliers won't ship to the USA anymore due to the "I didn't get it" frauds who cancel the payments. 

 

Please provide better information on who you dealt with so we can help, or learn something from it.

Thank you for your response. NOW if I could get any help from Caterham Parts regarding a tracking number it would allow me to find the shipping company (assuming DHL) and determine if my order is stuck in customs…I just need a tracking number!!! 😎

Looks like I have been taken…

two months ago I ordered from Caterham Parts…they immediately took my credit card and the following day emailed the part was shipped. Since that time I have sent several emails asking for a tracking number or asking for any information about the item…absolutely ghost…I have no idea if they are in business.  
Any help/advise for me would be greatly appreciated!

Although the message is using the proper logo and the 9-letter reference number is consistent with numbers I have received from them on past orders, that can all be faked, as can the return email address.  @Vovchandr's question is the key.  Did you order from caterhamparts.CO.UK or caterhamparts.COM?  The first is genuine, the second shows very different domain registration data on ICANN and appears fake.

59-1/2 days? Even if you ordered from the Pope and he replied to you every day? Dispute with credit card company. If it is just delayed and poor service, it will work itself out eventually. Otherwise, move on and hope it shows up eventually.

Yeah they likely have it but are just horrible about communicating and sending it. 

 

Doesn't help you with current order but reach out to Chris at Redline and establish contact. There is a chance you can cancel your order and have him send you one and you'll have it within a week. He's pretty quick. Email works well for him. 

 

He even knows CC guys and might be able to poke the bear and see what up with your order.

I am in agreement with you, you were likely taken by an imposter.  Caterham parts doesn’t deserve the bash it's getting on this thread, especially since we don't have a URL to judge!

 

And, so I'm at least somewhat helpful,  now I know what you ordered,  I have a plate light I'll give you, the black plastic housing type.  PM me and I'll get you pics.   I'll hook you up.
