Haven't considered any power upgrades as the car was modified when i purchased it and move very quickly and responsively. I need to order those LED taillights too, as I've come to the realization that the stock brake lights are virtually invisible in the daytime. Seems like the best solution going by a long ways. 1

Even at the face value the benefit they provide is much cheaper than alternative of a crash or being hit. Their price is probably cheaper than most deductibles. Plus they look good. All the people passing me on NJMP 7s day can attest to brightness.

Seriously, I have had one close call on the road that at the time I chalked up to an inattentive driver behind me*, but after going on a few group drives both following other Caterhams and having my non-Seven driving friend follow me and said "I can't see your brake lights AT ALL" I'm realizing it's a must-fix. *now I realize that they really probably could not tell I was braking.

What about adding a set of these to your newly installed brake lights? 1
Slonie Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 Oh yeah! I ordered a set of CaterLEDs shortly after the aforementioned incident but have lagged on installing them. I think I'll be able to install them all together in the near future... 2
desr Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 previous owner attached JAL multiple LED lamp ( https://justaddlightness.co.uk/product/caterham-7-high-level-led-third-brake-light/ )to top of roll bar. fortunately it displays high enough and fits perfectly within the window of the half hood. i prefer the integrated look of the CaterLED's but not sufficient incentive to swap out just yet.
