pethier Posted Tuesday at 09:04 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:04 PM I understand that the vent in the top of the nose cone, aft of the radiator, is to reduce the aerodynamic lift on the front end. Am I supposed to be able to see the engine and dampers through this vent, or is there supposed to be some ducting or the like blocking my view? 1

I contacted them today. There is a hole in the part that might be related to RHD/LHD, but but I don't think that is a big deal. I can relocate the hole if need be using some supertape. I'm not likely to take the car to a concours and remove the nose cone... Edited yesterday at 04:25 AM by pethier I was not finished yet.
Croc Posted yesterday at 04:54 AM Posted yesterday at 04:54 AM No you should not be able to look through. There is the black plastic tongue thing linked in the part. The hole is for the coolant pipe to radiator showing on the left side of your photo.
KnifeySpoony Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Maybe Darren can weigh in on why the duct was removed, but on blatchat people talk about removing it to decrease underhood and footwell temperatures, and don't see any difference with coolant temps. Hard to measure front lift, but presumably that's the only benefit of the duct. If you're tracking the car the marginal benefit may be worthwhile.
