demoray Posted Saturday at 01:52 PM Posted Saturday at 01:52 PM Working on replacing mine... How do you take this connector off? For context, it's the one circled on red on the second photo.
demoray Posted Saturday at 11:34 PM Posted Saturday at 11:34 PM The connector has tabs on both sides that I couldn't see until I partially lifted the fuel pump out of the tank.
demoray Posted yesterday at 01:20 AM Posted yesterday at 01:20 AM Well, shit. The fuel pump in my CSR doesn't have the same connections as the one from Rimmer Brother.
demoray Posted yesterday at 01:34 AM Posted yesterday at 01:34 AM For those following along, my CSR had a Walbro grj235.

That does not even look like the same or close to same spec pump? Did you get a good match with correct flow rate? Matches the original car - Rover piece of shit 200 (or something like that)? Edited to add: Sorry just worked out what came out of your car - the Walbro. I think your car must have had a fuel pump replacement in its life before it reached you as that matches up to a US Volvo and not a UK Rover. My guidance on replacing an original pump is obviously going to throw curve ball into your replacement exercise!

My CSR 260 had the pump on the right in your photo. It failed. The replacement called out in this thread had the two male "spades" like the one on the left in your photo. My solution was to take a pair of diagonal cutters to the plastic on the harness. I nibbled away all of the plastic housing until the two female spades were free. I plugged them to the male spades, wide to wide and narrow to narrow. i did not have to cut and repair wires, just make the plastic housing on the harness side go away. I did not have to make any changes to the pump side.
