S1Steve Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Hi, I am going to sell it, time for something new, not sure what. This is a Superformance S1, has a Zetec with Web-Con FI. Type 9 gearbox from Mike Cotts in the U.K. 10670 miles, I have bought it new in 02" from Dynamic Motorsports in Ohio. I take very good care of this car and I don't even let my wife drive it. It runs great, looks like new, and would make someone Happy:hurray: for a long time. It's a great car and the S1 forum is AWAYS there for help with it. ( you have to own one to be a member) great guys. It has a top and doors, some what of a heater, Title from PA. in the safe. Thanks Steve Novellihttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1588514770_Valley Forge on Jan. 28, 2006 005.jpg The Blue S1 is Bob Ellis's from Montana, he was out to see his son in Pa.Thats the only time I've have seen two S1 together. Bob has been a Racer for a long time and gave me great driving tips and set up advice. Bob is a ACE !!
slngsht Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Steve, that's an amazing car. Can't believe you're parting ways with it.
JohnK Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I'll vouch for this car, although I'm sad to see Steve and this S1 parting company. I tuned it when I was at Performance Engineering. The car performed so well afterwards that another S1 owner who ran along with it at a track day at Pocono, trailered his car from Philly to Cincinnati to have me tune his car. The other owner, running a Zetec with Piper cams, J&R pistons and a milled head, asked Steve "What engine are you running in that?" It's an excellent example of the advantages of running an electronic engine management system. (Disclaimer: I have no financial interests of any kind in the sale of or proceeds from this transaction.) Cheers,
powderbrake Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I was impressed with the S1's that I have seen. Typical Superformance fit and fininsh..... meaning superb!
S1Steve Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 The Zetec in my S1http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/58713155_S1 engine 002.jpg:sleep:
S1Steve Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 This is the last photo, Promise !!! But it's a good one , John K tells of the Pocono fun, any 7 has to be a fun track car !!! The cars behind me always passed me on the BIG Nascar banks, and that is fun to see and hear them go by, and thru the road course I get ahead of a few, lap after lap ect...http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/537712155_Pocono with the S1.jpg
S1Steve Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 J.R., I never posted a price, Would you like to make an offer ??? Steve
flexer Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 I would, but it is a buddy who was interested and asking me about it, and to post about the price. I have no idea what he thinks the car is worth I would have to ask him. What do you think the car is worth? J. R.
S1Steve Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 Hi J.R., Well I am not sure what its worth, S1's don't come up for sale to often. I been looking at other 7's on the market, and they been asking around 25 , give or take. I read a new Caterham is $ 55.000 for the top of the line. So I'll say $30.000 ??? And if anything, It will give someone, something to talk about. I don't have to sell it, and I still enjoy it . But it sits most of the winter, and I thought maybe something that is more winter or cold weather friendly. READ- EARLY 911, 68 to 73 . Or maybe a single seater, FA, FB ?? Radical ?? But then I'm back to summer use only with a single seater. Thanks for asking . Steve
slngsht Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 If you buy a Radical, you HAVE TO post about it here!
Ian7 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Last photo (head-on, with vette behind) shows an interesting relationship between the top of the windscreen, top of the rollover bar, and the top of the helmet
S1Steve Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 I guess you don't like the Aero drag from my helmet ??????
JohnK Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 With due consideration of Randy Newman's song "Short people", I'd guess that this is an observation that some tall people drive S1s. Or perhaps one should make it a point to hunker down whenever you see someone pointing a camera at you so you look like you're in a F1 car.
RGTorque Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 well this is no good... i just got my se7en and you the most local owner.
yellowss7 Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 If he doesn't sell it by the spring, all Steve has to do is bring it to the next Philly Region Autox, and stick a for sale sign on it and it will be sold. That way we can keep it in the area. :hurray: Lance sold his car to his neighbor in Yardley and I'm in Media, and there is at least one other 7 in the Montgomery county area. So we've got you surrounded. Congratulations on the Registration, see you in the spring. Tom
Maverick1 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I really like the look of the S1, too bad it only has 175hp. Love the orange color as well. [admin edit: moved link to another thread] Just curious, how do the S1's perform/handle compared to Caterhams? Says it hits 60 in 5.3 seconds....sounds a little slow. They must weigh a little more than Caterhams. Cheers™
deklof Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Is this car still for sale? If so, please contact me offline at dennis.eklof@verizon.net.
S1Steve Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 (edited) It's back on the market. Not much has changed , other than a few more stone chips and 15k miles. Runs great all the time. $ 23.000 Steve Novelli 610-724-3415 Don't ask what I'm getting next, because I'm all over the place. I'll take up to date photo's Monday and post them.
