Try this:

 

Click "My Profile" from the top nav bar, then "Edit Profile" from the left nav.

Scroll down and look for "Select your preferred theme:". Pick any of the choices and click "Save". The default one is YafVision, which is the dark scheme. Any of the other ones give you a variety of styles, almost all with black text on white background.

 

You only have to do this one time - the forum will remember your settings as long as you are logged in, no matter which computer you go to.

Unfortunately the old one is the one I modified, but alot of the other ones are very similar.

I find that "Chrome" setting is good for legibility, yet retains grey bars and syncs with new header..

Let me add my thanks, those of us with aging eyes do not read white print easily.

 

The banner goes off screen with a scroll bar on my monitor while everything else fits on the screen. Is there something I can do about this?

Just read this thread and changed to the standard version and now have the new banner, WAY COOL....The yaf.....version seems to give me the old banner the one with Al's car making the turn.

I'm running 800 x 600, again to aid my aging eyes.

 

It seems stange that the USA7s banner would run off the screen yet the advertising banner and forum sections size themselves correctly.

You know what's funny is that I actually changed my resolution to 800X600 to see how bad it would be, and saw what you're talking about. Then I thought to myself "eh, nobody runs 800X600 anymore..." :rofl:

I appreciate the effort .. but I don't like the banner .. I like pics of real cars .. which I think gives visitors a better feeling about what the Se7en experience is about. The black on black frog eye doesn't stand out ..

 

When I saw all the black, I immediately switched to a warmer blue setup ,..

 

which now makes it very difficult to discriminate an imbedded web link.
