Kitcat
Look at the last shot of the Deman 27 in the for-sale section of this forum. It shows a clouding sky hovering over a lone, brilliant orange Seven, next to a brown cornfield, green grass, with an engaged driver zooming down a silver road from a lighted area into semi-darkness. It captures the essence of the Seven experience: total ecstasy! I cant afford the car but will happily pay for a 8x10 copy. Anyone else have a favorite? Al N.
i think any shot that captures some moment of some memorable drive is the best...and each owner/fan has their own favorite — and surprisingly, it doesn't necessarily have to feature one's own car to be a favorite (as Mike as already proved). My personal favorite, perhaps of all time, features the Friday AM drive from the Dragon. It had rained overnight and the roads were still damp. It was super early too, like 6 or 7 or something, and most of us had just gotten in the night before. While I knew Mazda, I had never met Norm B. or Michael D. before. And then to throw Jonny L., the journo from Jalopnik into the mix...I didn't get out on the road too much that weekend and for me, the shot of from Michael's car looking forward to Norm and I in a particularly twisty stretch is priceless. It's the screen saver for my second monitor as well as the photo from the USA7s banner. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/946596632_WetDragon.jpg And then, there was this shot, which was taken right after our non-parade...just one car in the foreground, but I can remember the camaraderie and "Well, that was cool." vibe that had settled on us all that AM. Good times, good times. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1881888560_GroupPhoto.jpg
stevet
Surely you can't mean this one, Mazda... http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/201760308_big cans061.jpg This one is probably still my favorite (my UK Seven)... http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/513584658_as finished032.jpg
solder_guy
The best pic I've seen is of Orange alone with twisties before and after ... on the ToTD. Then there's the pic of the yellow car in the yellow wildflowers. The woman's head amongst the headlights is .. just obscenely weird! Rob
manik
Nigel Ash of Se7en Imagining (in the U.K. naturally) shot this one recently. Pretty good in my book! http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w165/Se7enImaging/2XS_0223.jpg

Kitcat
Am I the only one sensing a USA7s fund- raising opportunity here? Folks sell their favorite pictures & proceeds, after expenses, go to the club? I'd pay $20 bucks for an 8x10 of the Deman, the headlights head is a hoot, the sliding Seven, just above, is awesome, and I too love the Seven in the flowers, etc. Maybe a calendar? Keep 'em coming! scannon
I'm kinda partial to this one. Not that I'm biased or anything like that. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1318927545_DSC03024.JPG
MHKflyer52
Good Idea about a calander but you better get the proper promissions from the owners of those photos that would be used. I would vote for a calander with 8.5x11 photos for each month. I would bet that most of the US venders would even pay for advertizing space. Note: If this were to occure I would volenter my time to help put it together for the forum if the board members decide to give it a try. Here's one I like but I am partial to it and the car. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/499761216_p1010445.jpg
stevet
Here's a really odd one I found on blatchat a while back. Someone knows there way around photoshop I guess. Al N.
Actually, you have to get the photographer to release the photo and the "model" too.... So if we pursue the calendar, you need to check with the photographer first (since it's for a not-for-profit club, hopefully they'll be cool about it) and be sure to give photo/owner credits. Obviously, we're going to want the highest rez files too...another reason to speak to the photographer... -Al

Keith
The best one is definitely that sliding orange car If anyone wants the highest resolution version of that, let me know. It's a more normally proportioned photo normally, although it was taken in front of a fairly blah background. If you do want to use it for a calendar, I can pursue the photographer. I don't imagine Larry Webster will have a problem I have a few more of my own car that I particularly like. This one's received a number of comments. http://www.cheapsportscar.net/images/IMG_8500.jpg This is what the Se7en tour group that got into Moab late missed. http://www.cheapsportscar.net/images/IMG_8488.jpg
