Yeah that calculator shows Mojito in the mid 9 range. That would have to be in a perfect world. I would really like to get a set of drag radials just to see what the car could do. MT et Street is a bad a** tire. Alot of mustangs run in the 9s and 10s on that tire. It is a radial tire instead of a true drag slick but they seem to hook well on the cars that I have seen run them. I have a buddy with a 72 chevy Luv that has a 474ci small block that dyno 780hp. He runs those tires and it hooks amazingly well. A little spin but nut much.

I would say BS also, you take one look at these cars and you think its cute, but fast? No way.

All I can say is when WestTex gets a wild hair to build something fast, it is usually unbelievably so.

 

I didn't even bother to look a the speedo memory until he told me he was running 163 when

I passed him and wanted to know what I was running.

 

Hell I have seen 125 mph indicated with WestTex in the coffin durring the one lap.....:7fume:

Can we wait till after the one lap to do this ??? Last time you did this we were doing a 30 min. diff change in the middle of the one lap.... :ack:

I see this kind of stickiness as us on the internet looking for more diffs....

Truth is I was probably running closer to 200+..... He has most likely detuned the speedo so I don't get scared :eek:

 

He keeps me locked out here in this Garage 20 hours a day..... (HELP)

Some times all I have to sleep on is a creeper

 

Haven't seen my wife in weeks..... He says she is ok......

 

Well at least he lets me surf the USA 7s site...... I guess its not that bad.....:D :d :D :d

i don't mean to get all pollyanna on everyone, but this marque-inclusiveness, BS-ing, awe-inducing, and gauntlet throwing nature of this thread is making my morning, too.

 

I've never met Loren, but Kevin and his wife are some of the most friendly and fun people you'll ever meet. Yay USA7s!

Just for the record 7evin was a sick twisted freak before I ever met him. He is just trying to justify his insanity by blaming me so that when his wife gets the CC statement he isnt in as much trouble. Dont worry bud I got your back.

I'm pretty sure my current camaro axle will not be able to put down 440 if the tires completely hookup. The good news is that there is a $2000 solution to that problem that is a direct bolt in (Moser 12 bolt Tru-Trac). I'll have to do with my $300 camaro axle for now.

With all these big numbers flying around this thread, I am definitely not the fastest, but here are my numbers.

 

My best 1/4 mile time was 12.687 @ 108.57 mph. My car is a stock Ultralite with a stock Honda S2000 2.0 liter, running Falken Azenis street tires. I looked at some time sheets, and no matter the elapsed time, I am always in the 106 to 108 mph area. I need to change gear ratios to change that I guess. Elapsed time would be helped by stickier tires, and more experience.

 

In my few attempts at Run & Gun, I learned that drag racing isn't easy. The fast guys have a lot of skills and knowledge, and it makes a difference in their ET's. What psi to run, where to drop the clutch, whether to use the waterbox or not, what rpm to make your shift, etc. I learned to go when the last green light lit, but I could not always control my right foot. Somtimes the wheels would spin, but my brain could not get my right foot to ease up.... result is lots-o-smoke but lousy times.

 

I got beat by in-my-class cars, and out-of-my-class cars, by sevens, and by Cobras and vettes, but I also beat a few of each of those, and had a lot of fun. The finest moment was during the bracket racing, I had 12.9 dialed in, and I am in the staging lane next to a Cobra. The guy looks down at my windshield and says to me " I didn't think those LITTLE cars are that fast". I replied, "sometimes they even beat the BIG cars", and then I proceeded to beat him.... it made my day. :) :)

Man, all these numbers. Big or small, at least they are running and driving.....well, at least they have been driven in the past. I just hoping mine does not blow up the first few times I start it. I will be in BIG trouble after "justifying" some of the purchases I have made and already exceeding my spending limit if it goes boom and destroys something.

Doing the #'s. On the rev limiter, in my car I am building now, will be 173 mph at 7000 rpm.

 

I will be pushing about 350-400 Hp and since I have had my Eagle Talon (3289lbs) up to 153 MPH on the flats I know I should be able to push the Locost that fast.

 

IF I can keep it on the ground.

I have no predictions on the 1/4 time as of yet. But I am hoping for 10's-11's.

What engine you running? I am guessing turbo something.
