ken o Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 Well, I had Brian put an S2K Ultralite together for me. I went out today to pick it up and drove it home. Major problem, I am having trouble working the pedals. I got this as a fun/track car. With the pedal situation I don’t feel comfortable in the car. So I have decided not to keep it. If you are looking for a great deal this could be it. I will post picture later or email for them. Details: 2008 WCM S2k Yellow with silver fenders Motor had 48,000 miles for a 2002 S2000 New Hankook 225s, 17” I added padding and carpet to the interior. Brian/WCM will be the seller and will issue a new title. Car is in Allen, TX. powderbrake Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 From your replies it appears that you have tried all the common fixes. Sorry that it got to the purchase point before the difficulties arose. The Ultralight has more pedal room than any seven I have ever sat in. Perhaps a seven is just not feasible for you. You loss will be someone else's gain, as the price seems very reasonable. In that case, unless there are other reasons to sell the car, then I would investigate extending the inner panel. Looking at this picture of the foot box (shamelessly stolen from banjo29’s build site), it seems reasonably easy to cut out a section of the inner panel and fit a small aluminum box that extends the area to the right of the accelerator. I thought the panel was on the inside of the frame rails, and it's on the outside, so it's about a half to 3/4 inch from the tranny. :banghead: Great color too, but then I am a bit biased. I had to notch my brake pedal about 1/4 of an inch to clear the steering shaft. Looking at the picture the pedal looks to have some room. Just a thought if it you are intrested in trying to run the car. I was also thinking that you might want to make some new peddle arms that would move the clutch and brake to the left more. The prake peddle could then be positioned on the left of the steering shaft and the clutch could go a lot closer to the outside frame tube and you would not have to change the peddle mount assembely and its location.
