I stopped by a race car restoration and repair shop today to have a visit with Nathan Down, formally of RSMC and CC.

I walked into the shop to be confronted by a beautiful C type undergoing some mechanical sorting and repairs. Nathan said this was the last C type built. It belongs to Steve Earle who is the founder of the Monterey Classics at Laguna Seca.

That's Nathan in the background.

The rear clip is hanging on the wall and I forgot to get a picture of it.

This one is a little out of focus, sorry about that.

This is an XK 120 engine, in the backgound is a Cad Allard JX2.

Thanks,

Here's photo of an XK120 I took at a track day last summer.

Even the puddle underneath the car looks period correct ;)

John - While scrolling down, even before seeing your post, I saw the puddle and instantly thought, "That puddle is unrealistically small"! :)

While we're on the subject... my mate's D type (old photo, has been restored since then). Brooklands, leather helmets and googles - and triple Webers - explains why I have no hair :yesnod:

I love the small oil spot under the front... it's like it's part of the car :D
