slngsht
Hi all, Welcome to the new forum software. I'll be working to get things back in order over the next few days. Please follow these steps to log in: 1. Go to password recovery 2. Enter your registered email address 3. You will get an email with a link. Click on the link 4. You will receive a second email with a temporary password 5. Log in with your userid and temporary password 6. Click on User CP, then "Edit Email and Password" 7. Enter your temporary password, then a new password of your choice and click "Save Changes" If you're having trouble, email me at mazda_ebrahimi@yahoo.com. As you find new features, have questions about how to do things, etc..., post up on this thread. If you clicked on a link from another site and ended up here, it's because we changed the forum software a while back. slngsht
before i go to bed. the traditional youtube tags are not working. The good news is, you can now just post the regular http link from youtube straight into your post, and the vid will show up. I will see if I can go back and fix all existing links. Later... slngsht
Mazda-thanks for all the effort on this. I am glad that your case of upgrade-itus isn't limited to your car:). Mike I will refrain from hacking this forum Now that I've had some sleep, here are some things to play with. 1- Search feature. It is MUCH better than before. You will actually be able to find stuff 2- There is a calendar in the top bar. I have left it open to members for now. As long as it doesn't get cluttered up with junk, you can add interesting events. If you see things that are inappropriate, report and I'll deal with deleting it. 3- There are a ton of options under User CP. have a look-see. For example, there are 3 options for editors to choose from. 4- You have multiple ways to find the most recent posts, including "Today's posts" under quick links. 5- One I recreate the Club Member group, you'll be able to create your own albums under the community link. 6- The forum package comes with a nice help file - I'm still learning from it. Finally, if you see things you don't think you should be able to see/do, please PM me. Thanks.
JohnCh
Mazda, thanks again for all your hard work! Everything looks great, but I see the Avatar bug is back. BTW helpful hint for folks: The default editor doesn’t show the buttons to insert images, hyperlinks, or emoticons. To have those options display when you are writing a post, do the following: User CP>Edit Options (in left hand navigation)>Miscellaneous Options (bottom of the page)>change drop box from “Basic Editor – a simple text box” to “Standard Editor – Extra formatting controls” -John

I'll see if I can find it tonight.

DB6
I think the time clock is off. By the way, was there a problem on the old setup? Regards David I used to be "advanced" now I am just an old "senior", sigh Edited February 28, 2009 by DB6
scannon
I think the time clock is off. By the way, was there a problem on the old setup? Regards David I used to be "advanced" now I am just an old "senior", sigh Go to the Edit Options and scroll down and change your time zone. I changed my but sometime today it changed back and the times were off again. I also lost the setting for the advanced reply editor and had to reset it again. Mazda: Great job, I like this much better. I really like the Latest Posts button, saves a lot of time looking for the new posts. I also like the way it displays the attached pictures, giving you the ability to view all the attachments without going back to the post for each one. JohnCh
Yup, I was unable to migrate avatars and passwords I didn't mean the avatars didn't migrate. I was referring to the bug discovered in testing where the Edit Avatar option in the User CP didn't give an option to actually use an avatar. I guess the fix you made didn't carry over when you wiped the test site.
