someone drive like a total ass, and think to yourself "I wish I was driving a big old car"?

 

Well, today it happened. Snow clearing equipment ahead, doing about 45 in local lanes on 270. Ahole in a chevy express van decides its a good idea to use the merge lane to pass a few cars. I was the car he was going to squeeze out of my lane. So he pulls along side and starts coming over as his lane is ending. I guess he just caught me on a bad day - normally I just let'em go. I held my spot. He hit my mirror, which folded nicely. Came over a little more. I gave him a little push back and he backed off after a little fender action. Again, not a smart thing to do, but damn it felt good. He wouldn't make eye contact after that. :lol: (maybe he was looking for ammo?)

Did you get his plate number? I just turned a guys plate in today.

 

We have an intersection that had regularly had major accidents and deaths, due to idiots running the light. It was so bad I avoided it as often as I could. They changed the turn lanes to turn on arrow only, and things have improved greatly. Some a-hole today decided to bypass the turn lane entirely, and just cut across traffic. Got his plate, hope they nail him.

yes, got the plate and called it in. State police: pull over and see if there is damage to your vehicle. If you'd like, you can file a hit and run report. Moron had vanity plates on :lol:

Not that I don't applaude your "push back" reaction, but posting it here in public may have jeapordized your "hit and run" claim.

Understood, but I will not be filing a claim. No damage to my car. Anyone is welcome to look. Simply maintained my right of way from a car cutting into my lane*

 

 

*Disclaimer: moving to the other lane or slamming brakes would have caused potential accidents with other vehicles. Forcing your azzhat client to adjust his driving habit was the safest thing to do.

That's one of might pet peeves; people driving all the way up the open lane after the "merge sign" and then trying to squeeze in.

this was worse. he went from the main lane into the merge lane just to pass people and wasn't satisfied with just passing a few. He figured he'd just ride up and bully someone out of their lane.

Mazda rulles :hurray: and besides it sounds like you did not have any place to go and sometimes S%#t just happens that way.

 

Franklin7 is owned by a BULLY when it comes to his lane and he is in a ten year old Yukon.....LOL....That is why on my pickup I have reinforced step rails that do not look like they are and they are 18" off the ground and sit out just far enough that they will come in contact first before the side of my vehicle.

At the end of the day, bully or not I will give way if I think the bully will hug the guardrail. I will not take a chance. You never know if this will cause a fatal incident of innocent people (kids-mother-father).

Incident is different from Accident.

You will get involve in court. Class A suit can be draining, nasty and ugly.

Same thing happened to a chemical engineer friend of mine. He was on the way to work at the local silicon wafer factory, and the guy was driving a Mercedes. When he got to work, he was called in to see his boss. It seems the Mercedes driver was the CEO, and my friend was suddenly out of a job. :banghead:

Yes, the safe thing to do is to move out of the way, cut someone else off to do it, or slam on the brakes, which is what I've always done in 24 years of driving. Oh well, like I said, it was a f*** it moment

No, but he had actually put the guy in a snowbank. It was only a matter of time, since my friend was a rolling accident just looking for a place to happen. He had been fired from several jobs, generally because of clashes with an authority figure. He never seemed to link cause and effect of his actions, which is pretty strange for an engineer, whose job is the application of cause and effect.

I would think all of us have done the same thing a time or two. I sure have had my times as well, but after a few hours thought I should have backed off due to the above.

If the A** was an off duty cop, you could have had an assault charge. Remember the Psycho cop video in St. Louis?
