squarefour Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I finally got my GoPro video camera working, so I thought I'd show the interesting bit of my regular Friday evening commute (though it doesn't seem nearly as interesting on video as it does in real life :? ): Turn audio down, it's just crackles. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y64/squarefour/th_pict2-short1.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y64/squarefour/th_pict2-short2.jpg
JohnK Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Green with envy. You must arrive at work in great spirits after a drive like that.
11Budlite Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Wow, if I had a commute like that I don't think I'd ever retire!
Croc Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Damn that looks nice. Its better than my commute in NYC suburbia. Is there a jealous smilie?
S1Steve Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Yep, You are very lucky to enjoy that nice drive x2 each day. I get to drive on I-476 and I-95 to work, Philly traffic sucks !!!!
turboeric Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Wow, if I had a commute like that I don't think I'd ever retire! I do have a commute like that, but right now it's lined with snow banks and the road is covered with the gravel that the highways contractors pass off as sand.:ack: Truck time...
squarefour Posted December 13, 2010 Author Posted December 13, 2010 To be honest, it was running ~25° in the morning for a couple weeks, and before that it was raining, so I don't ALWAYS get to do the fun commute. The fun route usually adds about 1/2 hour over the direct route, but on Fridays bad freeway traffic puts it about even.
slomove Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Yes, nice road that is. We went there last Saturday with Doug and Randall. But don't be surprised by the wildlife (I posted that a few years ago).
scannon Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I thought that road looked familiar. I used to live in Tujunga in the early '90s. Ran that canyon many times with my Kawasaki and Miata.
BusaNostra Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Green with envy. You must arrive at work in great spirits after a drive like that. Driving to work? Hmmmmm, does he works in coal mining? Oh yeah, it's a great drive but I don't believe there's work there....hehehehehe!
