scannon
Amazing photos show great detail. The pilot at low level had no control over his aircraft. It narrowly misses a crowd gathered for the air show and slams into four buildings. One can only imagine the horror of the occupants inside those buildings. It must have scared the sh!t out of them. scannon
Yes, but I only hit one port-a-potty, this pilot got four at once. I'm jealous. The one I hit was unoccupied, I wonder if any of his four were. I think the Miata's damage was considerably more than that sustained by the balloon's basket. Croc
I think the Miata's damage was considerably more than that sustained by the balloon's basket. True...but I am sure you had some skidmarks?
scannon
True...but I am sure you had some skidmarks? The car launched off the banking before I could get to the brakes and never touched ground until it hit the top layers of the tire wall. No skidmarks on the track or dirt leading to the tirewall. No skidmarks in the skivvies either, it was one of those slow motion events. I made two attempts to free the gas pedal that was stuck to the floor and was reaching for the key when I decided it was better to push back from the steering wheel before the impact. I was wearing a 5 point harness and sustained no injuries, not even bruises from the belts. Because the car was starting to do a back flip the impact was on the suspension and underbody and the air bag didn't inflate. Much better than if the car had stayed on the ground and taken the impact on the nose. It was a rather soft landing all things considered.
