yellowss7
No affiliation. Just saw this on EBay. 1994 Caterham Pa registered. Price seems very reasonable. Don't think this guy is on this site. Only 40 miles from my location. Kitcat
Looks like a nice, stock, solid rear axle car. Little different from mine. I don't see a price listed but current bid is $16K and that shd go up a bit. Seems like a $20-22K car (5 sp., 1700 cc engine).
Ian7
Interesting to note that of 12 bids, only one is a second bid by an earlier bidder... ten guys bid once then seem to be watching or dropped away. do not understand these ebay people who drive up a no-reserve or a reserve-already-met auction days in advance of the end; pointless...... Croc
Go for it Ian - you know you want another Seven now that you are in the US!
Ian7
LOL why do you think I made the comment about driving the price up :-) (still got one back in Montreal for any Canadian lurkers out there...)
Paul Hill
(still got one back in Montreal for any Canadian lurkers out there...) Oh sure.... Where were ya when we were looking for one last year??? :willy_nilly: And worse, we're less than 2 hr from Montreal! All's well that ends well tho... Thanks to Craig Chima we are now well on our way to happy motoring! :hurray:
Kess
I am the two-time bidder. It was still below the reserve at the bids I made. Just trying to find the reserve to see if I was really in. Not sure what gets folks to bid it up past that point with 6 days to go. About 1.5 hours from Montreal so your car is closer Ian (likely much nicer as well). Klasik-69
At this time it appears to have met the minimum bid level, now a tad bid over $20K. I figure anything under 25K is good for this car. I have spent the last 4 months looking at 7's for sale and they are few and far between. One site of super 7 owners had about 6 to 8 cars for sale, one asking $69K (R500) but none lower than about $24K. I don't know if the older 7's built by Lotus, prior to Caterham, are valued more or less than the latter ones..............not sure. I like the advanced technology but the real deal sometimes outweighs everything else. I am buying a 2003 Caterham R300 fitted with a 2.0L duratec 205 hp engine, 5 speed tranny in absolutely perfect condition for $30K, closing on the deal next Monday. I thought I was lucky to have it but what do I know ?
Kitcat
Sounds like a heck of a deal for a terrific car but, as you say, what do I know?
