The NJMP Sevens Track Days Official Pic Thread

Karl, you did a good job, because on the video, Croc is almost always behind you, lap after lap. Looks like he's going to need to do the same upgrade you did this year.

Croc, I'd consider buying your current duratec if you decide to do the Karl upgrade.

Tom, I think if you calculate HP to weight ratios, Mike has me beat. The reason he is behind is that he kept lapping me and I could not see him in my mirrors due to his stealthy color. Maybe I need to get a supercharged RST-V8 for a cool 500 hp!

Karl, Karl, Karl, no need for you to cover for Croc. He's a big boy, he can stand hearing the truth. You held him off very nicely. It's in the video, unedited footage no less. I know there was one point by that you let us all pass, but surely that was just for good video effect. Once Croc went by, he promptly ran out of talent if he wasn't following somebody. :jester: The dust clouds and him sitting 20 feet off the blacktop in the grass is proof enough.

As for the RST! That would be scary!

Having now looked at the track day video I think a few modifications are in order to my seven to continue to maintain my lead over Tom and maybe....just maybe....catch up to Karl. Some weight reductions are in order, a few aerodynamic aids and a few well chosen engine and drivetrain mods. :-D

Tom, Congrats to you and John on the video production. I have never seen my car run before.

Let us know when you are heading to NJMP again, perhaps a few of us might be able to make it. Also I want to extend a general invite to everyone who attended the trackday, and anyone else, to come to my local track, Summit Point, West Virginia for a trackday. Google them and check it out. It is not as nice or new as NJMP but it is fun.

Croc, I too am thinking of ways to boost the performance of my car. This stuff is a drug.....

Dermot - I know what you mean. I just dented my wallet heavily this morning on a few go faster parts to get past Karl. It probably would have been cheaper to sign up with Jenny Craig/Weight Watchers to lose 30-40 pounds. BTW - I just love the sound of your Hayabusa just screaming up the rev range onto the straight - sends shivers up the spine!

Tom,

I finally got to watch the video after getting someone to copy it to a DVD for me. It turned out great. You did a great job putting it together. My wife had some video, but it was a new camera and the video is so so. Next time we will take the old Sony, it takes great video from ground.

Dermot,

I am going to schedule myself and my daughter to run FATT on the Shenandoha circuit on Sat. 9/24. I have run there before and love it. I ran the Main course last time and I liked Shenandoha better. It is a much more complicated course to learn than the Main track. But I started to find a rythm on it and it was a blast. I will be running Group 1 (beginners) and should get my sign off to run Group 2 there after.
