Croc
Well I know I like to make good natured fun of JohnCH's Westfield as a Birkin SV [:jester: ], however, it looks like there may be actually be a Birkin SV widebody on the way: http://www.ozclubbies.com.au/index.php?/topic/2499-widebody-birkin/page__p__28856__hl__birkin__fromsearch__1&do=findComment&comment=28856 I hope they can keep the proportions right. BessieTheSeven
Does this make it a superwide canoe? Or have I got my Westfields and Birkins all mixed up?
JohnCh
Now that the information is public, I no longer need to keep up the ruse that my car is a Westfield. As Croc correctly surmised earlier, it is in fact a Birkin. More specifically, it’s the pre-production Birkin SV that’s been undergoing secret testing here in the US for the last several years. We thought the Westfield badges would fool everyone, but Croc was immediately on to us. Glad I can finally come clean on this -- the guilt from deceiving everyone has been really draining. :jester: http://john15.web.officelive.com/Documents/westfield-birkin.jpg -John

Croc
Actually no Tom, I was not kidding. The Ozclubbie guys think Birkin is delivering a widebody Birkin - the poster in the link seems to think he has confirmed it. How good the source is, is a better question. I think it would be a logical move for the Birkin operation and could expand their sales in the US. I did find it amusing that after some mild fun winding up John about his Birkin SV that the joke turns around on me! yellowss7
Croc I was referring to John's picture. Definately not a Birkin. :svengo: Tom
Croc
Oh I misunderstood you. Yes you and Bessie are quite right. It is a wide bodied canoe. BTW - nice job with Photoshop John!
supersportsp
Is that red car a real Caterham?
soareyes
All kidding aside, it is a Westfield, and a very nice one! Belongs to JohnCh. Edit: I realize now you were kidding too! When I had my Birkin, I had several people ask if it was a real Lotus 7, but nobody ever asked if it was a real Caterham. Of course everybody is drooling over the Busa-based V-8s, I'm quite certain I won't be able to scrape up the $30K... just for the engine!!!
