Oh Happy Day! It looks as if the chassis is not bent. We have measured diagonals, checked level up and down the body and raised the motor off of its mounts on one side and lowered it back down to check alignment.

My shop has an old craftsman that knows how to hand form body panels to take out a few dents in the side skins. I'll just throw on a Carbon Rear from Mog-Racing (try to top that Croc!) and be good as new.

So, there are still plenty of parts so source and replace but at least the chassis looks to be undamaged. Hard to believe I know.

The big upside is that I'll be back on the track in short order. Hyperfest!!! NJMP 7's Day!!!!

Some good news finally on this thread! My memory is seat belts must be replaced after being stretched during a wreck. Your G meter showed abt 5 G's on impact so I suspect that yours got stretched. Just a thot.

Really glad to hear things are looking up for your car, Karl. Looking forward to reading of your track exploits again, tho I know it will still be an effort to get the Caterham shipshape.

So, even though the chassis is not apparently bent, the cost of the skin repair, painting and the risk of additional problems down the road make the new Chassis Body Unit the best option. One is on order from Caterham UK, in my favorite Caterham Orange color!

That's great news. What is the ETA on the CBU?

I've got David at Auto Freight on stand by for air shipping! Caterham UK is preparing and painting the CBU, and if I play my cards right I will get Caterham to fit my new roll cage from Caged before it ships.

So, who knows how fast the little guy in the paint shed can spray my car, or how long customs will take, but I hope to have the CBU in 2-3 weeks.
