Suave, Your older brother Les is concerned that you were never seen as a fashionista in our flock. He told me this afternoon that you used to wear your diapers backwards and he never understood how you got to be called Suave whereas he ended up Les Suave. I offered to take him on a ride to the coast this afternoon but he was busy preening his feathers. He seems to be more self-conscious than Suave and would never allow me to use his butt to wipe my hood. He did however ask me how the new Toyo r888r tires felt on my Storker and I told him that the jury is out at this point.

Addendum, I got home and inspected the new r888r's and found that the outer 1" strip of rubber on the two front tires and about 3/4" on the rear tires was not really making contact with the road with 19 pounds of air. I decided that I am going to lower the tire pressures to 17psi and see if I get a more uniform contact patch. 19psi may just have been a tad over-inflating?

Suave, Your older brother Les . . . told me this afternoon that you used to wear your diapers backwards . . .

Bob, actually, Suave 'still' wears diapers, especially since I started using his butt as a California Car Duster. In his defense, he doesn't wear his diapers backwards...he likes wearing them inside-out, but only after a little Shard-onnay. :jester:

Hello Ducks! For the record I DO drink moonshine, along with a little aged Ripple with some ice, gulped is my preference. I am a low-class, nasty stork you know.

And honestly Shane has no sense of style or color coordination. I think bla, bla, bla . . .

Suave, fixed your post. And look what I have for you, in your favorite color! :seeya:

Clearly a stork never brought you? More likely a turkey... :p

On my! It is time to put Suave to work and clean up that little potty mouth of his. Mmmm, the shop toilet needs some attention. :jester: Doesn't Suave look simply fabulous in his cleaning attire? And accented with his favorite colors; seasick green and BLUE!!!! A little black undercoat on the hiney will tie it all together. Suave's decor du jour!:seeya:

Things are turning into pandemonium at this Storker house. Pee Wee just jumped into the fray and is bashing Mr. Bill while Les just looks on in utter Stork amazement. Looks like your color choices may sicken your opponents on the track thus giving you the edge you probably always wanted. I am not in the same camp as my group of garage crazies other than maybe the blistering blue seat covers. Where is Gumby, my color consultant who has a different take on green?

Shane, Suave better not get ALL of our characters riled up while he sips his Shar-donay. My wife has her own menagerie that does not take kindly to recalcitrant storks! BTW, absolutely loving your build! I think Suave's butt is a great shining tool when you get light dust on that four-tired beauty.

What a coincidence, some good friends of mine are staying at the Shard right now! They are a classy group and know their wines! :seeya:

We'll at least one is still there. The other is now home. My pockets weren't deep enough to stay more than one night, Plus I'm afraid of heights.:nopity:

Tonight, I arrived in Indy for the new job. Finished up a few more items before departure: rear brake lines; refurbished and installed the grill; head lights, front park lights and turn signals (found the small LEDs down under - Croc should appreciate that); C&R Racing radiator; and mounted the Accusump. On the way over, I stopped in at the NCM Motorsports Park for a quick visit with Mario who was busy beating up on the Corvette folk.

Engine is currently being rebuilt by SNL out of the Dallas area. Getting a bit more c.i.d. (LS3 short block) and a few more ponies. For now, the Storker is on the ground and awaiting a drive train (that should happen toward the end of September).

To be continued . . . :seeya:

Shane - beautiful work as always. Do you think the diffuser makes a difference or is it all cosmetic?

I could be cheeky and note it does have just the right grass cutting action when you spin through it at 100mph! :p Discovered that from personal experience!

Excellent work Shane! When is the engine going back in?

Hopefully, the engine will be ready for pickup when I return from Indy (15th?).

I do believe the diffuser works. However, without a wind tunnel, it's pure theory. But I'm pretty sure it does cut grass. :jester:

Well, it did happen. I rolled in to Indy this evening and got together with Jack Banker and his friend, Dave, both of whom were kind enough to allow me to tie up their entire evening talking cars. Jack was also kind enough to take me for a ride in his extremely well built Stalker with it's turbo charged Eco Boost 4 cylinder; my first Stalker ride since Feb 28 at TWS (no, we did not get airborne). :jester: Dave's Stalker is equally well built; Jack and Dave's handy work. The camera doesn't capture the build and aesthetic quality of either of these cars; both need to be viewed up close and in person to be truly appreciated. And for those who are Chevy fans, take note of the COPO Camaro in the background of Dave's over-the-top man cave.

Thanks for the kind words Shane. Can't wait to see the Super Chicken in person. All three identical SuperStalker chassis but with three different approaches to lively power plants. The weekly Indy Cars and Coffee meets will be a blast next Summer with your participation. Thanks for stopping by the neighborhood. It was great fun to see your expression when Dave fired that COPO up.

Speaking of wing vents, louvers, where were they purchased or were they made locally?

thanks

mike

Mike,

Sorry...missed this. The front louvers were made by a rod shop while the rear louvers were scored on eBay.
