The car sold for $16,600. :blush: to one of our own who then had customs and logistics problems and it ended up back at the selling dealer (which still shows today):

Believe it sold for $17,500 several weeks later.

 

 

Current seller states "my reserve is set ultra low and 21K and it will sell for that"

Thanks for the posting. I'm the owner of the car. I don't recall using the term "ultra low reserve" however in any of my emails to you. I stated I didn't know the value but put reserve at 21 and said we shall see. Just wanted to clarify what was corresponded with you. Thanks

I stand corrected, as you sent the following after telling me you were not sure what you wanted but was open to offers.

 

"Not sure of value...another birkin on eBay now is bin of 27k and is at 19k plus with five days to go....I set my reserve at 21k....we will see...I suspect it will go beyond reserve since it is so nearly new. Thanks again for the interest"

Bill, thanks.....I just didn't want to come off as soundy cocky like that sounded. I lowered the reserve so we will see. I hope it doesn't go..

Exdoc-It mite do better if more pix like the two with just the pure green shrubbery in background, no other clutter (cars, charcoal grills,motorcycles, boxes etc). Those really show off the car's strengths (What do I know tho, my Birkin hasnt sold either:)).

I threw it on eBay w admittedly relative poor presentation perhaps just get a feel for the market. I've been a longtime forum reader so I have seen some of the valuations. I also wanted to see how I would feel with the thought of her leaving....that isn't going over so well with me. My wife is right when she says " you won't be happen without a 7 in the garage". She's a smart lady.

I've been around the block...owned many many cars and bikes...but one constant that stays with me is my unabashed love of the seven. I suppose it started when my dad snatched me in diapers from the grasp of my mom to take me in a fast ride in his series one......I supposed I'm doomed!

I'm on my third seven ownership session; the car I own now I've owned once before. So, guess what I keep going back to??? . . . You will too if you sell yours. I agree with your wife; you won't be happy without it. :iagree: Save yourself some heartache and keep the car. While you’re at it, grab some steaks for the grill. :hurray:
