Thanks for the offer on the mirrors Tom. I will let you know if I can't come up with a pair of mirrors.

I am glad to find out that the wind deflector is optional. I will probably forgo trying to fabricate one and just concentrate on getting mirrors. I don't think the mirrors will be as difficult to come up with.

Ooooooohhh! If The Stig attends then it will be dueling polishers! I believe Martin's car is just as shiny as yours, Steve! What you dont achieve in straight line speed you will achieve in blinding the faster cars as they get reflections from both of you diving from out of the sun! :willy_nilly:

Had a fun day on the Lightning yesterday and will be back this weekend for more. I hate to admit I like it better than Thunderbold. I could routinely hit 130 on the straight, woo woo that's fun. Maybe this is the year I can keep up with Croc at least a lap or two.

Karl, the heck with keeping up with Croc, I think you can smoke him.

Yesterday was a good one, Karl and I had a good time smacking around Porsches, and Corvettes all day, GT3's and ZR1's included. Felt real good.

I think Karl has found the loud pedal and has gotten comfortable with turns 2,3,4 and the bowl. Once he gets locked in on turn 5, Croc will be toast. :driving:

Steve, If the STIG chickens out, I'll keep you and the crossflow company. :seeya:

I heard from two more potentials and have moved them into the Maybe list. Sounds like they will try to run and or spectate if they can resolve their issues. Hopefully after the May guest driver dates that Croc offered we will be able to add a few more. :hurray:

How many cars do they limit to a run group? We have a good number of 7s now. 3 or 4 more would be so cool. Don't know if I would want be in our group running something else. I hope the other cars all have good mirrors. It is going to be lots of fun!!!!

Website says 25 per group max. Thats not too bad given the sevens group will actually make a good chunk of the group actually being able to carve a corner nicely instead of a luxe-barge wobbling its way around. I am really looking forward to seeing a swarm of buzzing sevens divebombing some poor helpless Corvette/BMW/Porsche/etc.

Dave D. If you'd like to get on the track before the June event. You can join us on May 17th for our Drivers club member day as a guest and run in the green group, which puts you behind a pace car, no passing and instructors will ride with you to help you learn the lines.

Let us know and we will get you signed up. The offer is open to other local seven owners who'd like to get out on track, to experience the fun, in a safe way for the first time.

Hi Roman - I understand your situation and you would be very much welcome to come as a spectator and enjoy the fun that seems to happen with a bunch of like minded car guys getting together to enjoy our cars the way they were designed.

Just to be clear, there is no racing. None of us will set the world on fire with our speed. There is no timing or prizes for finishing. The real prize is bring the car home in one piece with no damage and having a great social day with a bunch of like minded guys.

Nova:

My problem is I have limited time and $ and signed up for both Lightning weekend days before your group was able to book the T-Bolt track for Monday. I wld have done Sunday-Monday if your group was available then.

There is an outside chance that I will sign up at last minute for T-Bolt but that depends how crazy work is, whether my car is still running/tires have rubber etc., (and it's not raining-or if it rained Sat-Sun and Monday will be dry).

Anyhow, I like that you have stepped up and rented the track and are welcoming se7ens, it's just the timing problem.

Well, we are about a month out from the 3 annual Seven at NJMP trackday. Still time to get your car ready and join in on the fun either as a spectator or on track participant.

Hoping that my tires make it thru the next 3 trackdays left before our event, otherwise I'll just have to mount a new set. :driving:

Anyone else thinking of coming out? Stig, Box, Jvbtte, Klasic69??
