Croc
New shoes???? Anyone can drive quick on fresh slicks every 200 miles. The challenge is tracking on street tires for 1500 miles and still being faster
yellowss7
Croc, you are avoiding the reference to Dundee. It's the "Croc" killer. :iagree: Tom

Kitcat
Since I am such a regular guy, NJMP has sent me a notice of their pricing special for the trackside suites for the time our group will be there: $80.00 a night. Of course, this excludes people (like me) who have planned ahead and already reserved a room (A mere $150 a nite). Anyhow, for you procrastinators, this is an excellent price. The rooms are pretty bare boned but the location cant be beat.

Kitcat
Fellow attendees: YellowSS and I are bringing a few bottles of our favorite reds for the 2nd annual "Impromptu Wine Tasting". Feel free to bring your own favorite bottle(s) and we'll see who wins the coveted "Not bad" first prize (With this group, the competition isnt limited to the track:)). yellowss7
If we are drinking good stuff, then I recommend bringing a nice glass. Good wine in a plastic cup is a bit cheesy. :jester:
yellowss7
One week to go, just a little time left to make those last minute upgrades or to Polish your bonnet one more time. The friendly banter has begun with some off line chatter. As Mike posted earlier, feel free to bring your choice of beverage to lube the tongue and brain for the post trackday frivolity. I hear that Croc has taken riding lessons in anticipation of his 2nd annual run for the roses. :smilielol5: Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Maybe BESSIE, will make her East Coast debut???? Croc
Tom, Karl and myself got a little extra practice at Lightning today. Great weather, nice breeze, plenty of sun. Needless to say 2 of us needed the practice :iamwithstupid:, the other was slow enough that he did not get into trouble. :blueangel: For those arriving Friday night, there is a tech session between 6 and 7pm which would be a good opportunity to get this behind you and make the next morning less of a rush. yellowss7
Mike, I'm surprised that you have time to post as I was sure that it would take you several hours to clean up your car. The amount of Weeds, Flowers, and dirt that you collected today was amazing. Oh, did I mention it was three separate Offs, in one session.:jester: Mike had to go into pit lane so many times, I think he may have forgotten how to find his way to the main straight. Karl added some lightness to his car today. Apparently he felt that the carbon wings up front were too heavy and he jettisoned one of them on the main straight, bringing out the debris flag. Keep checking ebay as I'm sure a corner worker will retrieve it and try to sell it. :jester: Tom
Croc
Oh, did I mention it was three separate Offs, in one session.:jester: umm....it was four..... If it makes it any better (not really but I will try), once was when a Mazda RX7 looped turn 7 causing everyone behind to dive in all directions. Kitcat
My e-mail from Track Daze says the tech of cars on Friday is 7:00-8:30 p.m., which gives folks like me who are making a long trek a better chance of making it. Congrats on the 4 offs Croc: it ties my record for NJMP, but I needed a whole weekend to do what you did in a single session!
blubarisax
Your Honor, in Croc's defense it was only 3 times in one session, another time earlier in the day. Good devensive driving saved him twice. The Mazdas were driven by the local police department, wish I could have ticked them. Even I spun in turn 7, it was very slick! New front wing on the way, but I may be running minus one if DHL lets me down. Glad I had a chance to warm up on Ligntning in advance.
yellowss7
Wow, I am such a slacker. I guess I'm not trying as hard as you guys as I seem to be able to keep my car on the track. Maybe you guys should move up to 10 inch slicks all the way around.:jester: You know bigger is better. :svengo: Tom
