Yes, it is the same one discussed on this forum. Six months ago (pre-flood) it could have been bought for $32k.

Based on the gallon or two of tire shine in those pictures, I'm guessing it will soon be back on Ebay as "slightly tweaked but easily rebuildable."

I can only agree with you BigDog. If it was $32k with clean title six months back why would you pay an additional $8k now for a damaged title and chassis concerns.

Reading the ad carefully makes me convinced that they are reading USA7s website....

We used to rebuild totals and would never touch a flood car. Floods even fresh water get into places that one would not expect and wait some time before causing misery. It was not ethics that drove this reasoning but protection of our reputation. This still is a "parts car" and hard for me to put a price tag on due to not knowing the Cat parts market but it would top at 16k being generous. Looks like this man either has a car for is collection or is going to shaft someone, blunt statement.

Some running/driving video might be a little more convincing. At the very least, I suppose the fluids have been changed twice now.

Regardless of what we think of the price the seller is being honest regarding the cars description and title.

I don’t understand or agree with recent comments that "someone’s going to get shafted", getting shafted has to do with being mislead which sounds the opposite of what this seller is doing. If someone buys this vehicle and is happy with their purchase and has done their due diligence, then who are we to say other wise.

Nice pictures. Quick question. Do Caterhams not have a center rear-view mirror?

They come with a standard center mirror. The car in the auction had an aftermarket panoramic type center rear view mirror the last time I saw it. It appears that the mirror has been removed somewhere along the line. http://www.mirrorsforsevens.com

You can see it clamped to the top of the windscreen in this photo.
