The wife and I are now back in the USA (Walla Walla Wa.) after having lived in Germany for the past 4 years.

The Seven & Mercedes will arrive in Seattle in mid August. If anyone finds themselves in Walla Walla (a great wine destination) Just let me know, You're more than welcome in my home.

We have a small group of Caterham owners west of the Cascades. Bruce, at Beachman Racing in Woodinville, tries to coordinate our track days and occasionally circulate semi-important e-mails. I believe several of us will be at Spokane this summer. Let Bruce or me know if you are interested in being added.

Welcome back! Any adjustment to the 'merican way of life? :flag:  :deadhorse:

Not really. Walla Walla is a small town & is very friendly. I will however miss all my German friends and the wonderful German bakeries.

I count my self as very fortunate to have had the opportunity to live in Europe. As an older bloke. I can and do compartmentalize the different countries and just chalk it up to Europe is Europe and America is America. Each has it's good and bad points.

Bigdog,

Welcome home! I know it will be a transition. For me personally, I still can't drink a "Bud lite" or most other American beers. I came home right after the "wall" fell, but before the East German drivers took over, and my disappointment was in the skill and attention of the Average American Driver on the interstate. And, with texting that has gotten worse if anything. So, watch that, even in WA.

Tabor10, I'll have to agree with the average American driver. They barely seem to be aware that they are in a car at all.

Believe it or not, I didn't drink a lot of beer while there. When I did it tended to be a Cola-Weizen in the winter. And a radler in the summer. I'm mostly a single malt Scotch whiskey drinker.
