  1. Speaking of wings. Decided to look into why my driver side has failed over and over again. Failed with bolts, failed with big heads (2x) etc. Used the awesome 7 ball joint tool for the first time and swapped the fender stay for a new 13in and discovered a few things. 1) old one was twisted which likely explains uneven pressure/stress causing failures 2) the new stay makes the fender sit much higher
  2. While trying to fish out all the debris collected in the crevice of hell where chassis meets foot-well enclosed/trapped by sheet metal, I asked myself "Does any 7 veteran have a better way to do this?" With that question still pending an answer if you have any 7 solutions to common problems, we could all benefit. Off the top of my head Spider cracks in the fenders and noise reduction can be achieved by buying sticky rubberized protective film in different thicknesses to be put inside the fenders. Dings in the body work can be minimized by buying clear PPF film. Welding nuts for the seat rails can save a lot of future frustration Feel free to have anything else you might have.
  3. Oh I'd love to see an answer to that as well. Mine are pretty destroyed from aging. I have a pending order from CCparts for a replacement.
  4. Love the straight cut gear noise. Sounds just like mine.
  5. Thats a great shoot! Perfect fit. Thanks
  6. I wasn't aware of that build and it's actually very impressive. I've seen very few people that did Zetec to Duratec swap. It's interesting to me as I have a Duratec sitting around but not sure if I'll ever dive into that adventure
  7. Superlight chasing McLaren
  8. You'd actually be surprised that it might work without being flushed. Without knowing his scenario but I've had cars sit for nearly a decade and still run after. As far as miles now, I'm gladly reporting that NY registration issue is skirted for next two years and I have plates again to put some miles on!
  9. Two ways of getting into a Caterham
  10. Pictures will be great! I think I run very rich and plan to have that troubleshot in the future as well. Sent out my FPR to get rebuilt but the pressure seems right/slightly high. Have you tried using a wideband to see if you switch between open and closed loops? I'm also on a Zetec with only upstream sensor but on a stand alone ECU. I don't believe you need a second sensor for rich/lean conditions. I believe second sensor only gets used to tell cat efficiency. Winter isn't very motivating to be working on projects but spring sure tends to light a fire to get things moving..
  11. Hah. That's how I felt. Make sure to catch the interviews at the very end.
  12. @Birkinman hope to see you around this year.
  13. Not sure why yours didn't embed. Fixing that
  14. Quick internet sleuthing reveals that he bought it for $28.5k in 2013 or so and he was asking $30k for it a year later.
