  1. Anyone have room for a passenger? I may have a taker (another guy who is a commenter on Jalopnik who lives down in your area).
  2. Speaking of Tiger, is it me or did he put on a whole lot more muscle over the past year. I haven't watched golf in a while and he looks ripped.
  3. Pretty sure that's the Diva, built by RMotorsport http://www.rmotorsport.info/
  4. I ate way too much. Lunch with my folks, then dinner with my in-laws. No blatting, but did catch the end of golf as well as a Tivo'd USGP. That Lewis Hamilton is amazing. I'm really surprised that even more hasn't been made of his debut in F1. I was thinking about it yesterday, and the current Macca lineup is pretty much the only one in recent years where both drivers had a genuine shot at the title...much like the Senna/Prost, Mansell/Piquet days. Because let's face it, as much as I root for Rubens, there was no way he was actually going to win while MSC was in town.
  5. Actually, we will have premium Texaco on tap at Tapoco. There is also a gas station at Fontana. The 100 octane supplier turned out to be too $$$ to be worthwhile...would have been like $9 a gallon. Be sure to fill up in Maryville if you are anywhere near a quarter tank or less. I nearly ran out back when I was there in April, Pilot sputtered once and I just made it to the Deal's Gap gas before they closed for the day.
  6. Thanks for sharing your story Mike. It's been great to see someone go from "future owner" to "current owner" right before our very eyes. What the forum's all about, IMHO. I do appreciate when people post a bit about their backgrounds...makes the community feel more like, well, a community. See you all in just a few weeks. Sounds like Mrs. Rowe's is going to have a very interesting parking lot July 5th!
  7. Mazda-are you going to swap out your other Vette tires for 7-7-7 or use your semi-slicks?
  8. You wuss...why aren't you using 120% of the throttle all the time? It's like that amp in Spinal Tap that goes up to 11. In all seriousness, I think I've only been WOT like twice in my car. And it was pretty awesome. Your car HAS to be one of the ones the journalists get to try, it's just so out there in terms of power.
  9. Over 375 members now and still no recent updates here?
  10. I hope a set of scales magically materializes for the 7-7-7 event. Would be funny to get true weights on all the cars. All hail the 2 gallon "remote reserve" tank! I had to use mine once before, Mike....darn ATL fuel gauge.
  11. EburgE-keep an eye on that ali and green Rotus...that's no four banger lurking under the bonnet!
  12. I'm keeping the Se7ens in the boxes...who knows, they might make good prizes at the event! For the record, I just ran a few laps with my old Scalextric Panoz LMP racer and beat my best time with either of the Renaults by a pretty wide margin. Better throttle response and "aerodynamics" (stronger magnets).
  13. Dude- I don't know about you, but I will be in a rush to unload Orange from the trailer and get it on the Dragon! We'll work something out.
  14. .Map Link to Mrs. Rowes You're still around 7 hours from Robbinsville at that point. 400 miles or so, and Mazda you know what that last hour of driving is like. Leaving there at 9 am would have you at Tapoco around 4 pm. Regarding a time, I need to check with my gracious host about checkout at his fine establishment. I'd say plan on a meet up without me. And if Steve and I make it over, that's just a little extra gravy on your pon haus
  15. Tom- If it comes with a "if it does not fit, you may return" then by all means send it. I'll reimburse you for the postage either way. Still have not received hose from UK. Was supposedly in the mail last week. Funny, I got my 50th Anniversary hat in about a week. Thanks for the help. -Al
  16. It's this one... http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1041567368_594_2B.JPG.jpg
  17. Anyone who gets time behind the wheel of Franken7 should be required to have a at least a Formula 1 license...or at least be the acting president of the club or something...:jester:
  18. Another Journalist has signed up for the 7-7-7 event. Jonny Lieberman, who did that nice write up on Gert for Jalopnik a few months back. He's looking for a buddy who will provide seat time and perhaps even some moments behind the wheel.
  19. It's the upper radiator hose, but similar to the one for the old BDR...since it comes off the water rail near the front of the engine, not from the rear like most Zetec installations. It is allegedly in the mail according to Caterham UK.
  20. I was wondering the same thing, Stan. But I was too afraid to ask. Since it'sa sequential...perhaps with buttons or paddles we can't see?
  21. James- The only other US Vauxhaull owner I know of personally is Bart Lami, who lives in western PA. I wil PM you Bart's contact info. -Al
  22. I don't think I could get that sort of present for Father's Day Tom! Besides, my car is still laid up waiting for a hose from UK.
  23. Check out the list of entrants for the "other half" of the TotD Auto-X: http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEntryList.Show?psevent_id=6989&psrnd=.71896700293458510887581859916976406114 Think a Se7en will still take FTD — including all classes? There's a woman/girl in a kart thrown in for good measure.
  24. Trailer looks awesome!
  25. ce1984-I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I think that Cat-USA might sell the entire drivetrain, stem to stern (including all ancilaries), in the prices they quote (sit down before you check those out). Skip C. put a Miata mill into his SV (which he bought as a roller), and can probably advise on what is needed when buying a kit sans engine and tranny. As far the bonnet cutouts go...Rex M. of Speed Classics built my car and I know he had to cut the bonnet himself (which I had my local garage tidy up once it arrived in NJ).
