Caterham online store lists them here:http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=4235 ebay UK or blatchat for sale http://www.blatchat.com/f.asp?id=13section might be worth looking into. I don't recall if any other suppliers have the clamshell fenders. Have you tried a search USA7s for them? Mike

I would check for voltage at the pump, if there is power at the pump then I would say the pump is bad. If there isn't voltage then I wold check the pump wiring for continuity. Mike

Looks great and will be more enjoyable place to work than your previous setup. I was in your neighborhood Saturday but didn't want to drop in unannounced, wish I would have now. Seems like a few more cars and beer coolers would fit in front of the garage for a christening. Mike

I have a set of Racetech mirrors that attach to the center screw hole of the windshield frame. Here :http://www.racetechdesign.com/index_files/Page499.htm I got them from the UK but the guy is no longer in business. When I needed a replacement lens I contacted http://www.race-parts.com . Sevens and Elans advertises a kit that also uses the existing holes but I have no experience with it. http://www.sevenselans.com/partsforsale.htm Mike

The car is still for sale. Tony , I responded to your email about the title and engine origin paperwork from Caterham USA to the amicroinic.com address on August 22. I just resent it to that same address and the lotusowners email as well. Let me know if you don't receive it. Mike

New directions, problems, locations for Caterham?
breezy7 replied to Alaskossie's topic in General Sevens Discussion
It seems to be an ambitious plan for a company that has used up its cash reserves and has stated "the current economic conditions create uncertainty particularly over the level of demand of the company's products and the availability of bank finance in the foreseeable future." I hope the new development goes better than the work with Reynard a few years ago to replace the 7. Caterham thought the car couldn't continue as it was then and Colin Chapman probably thought the same when he sold the rights to Caterham nearly 40 years ago. -
Came across this article about Caterham profits being down http://www.pitpass.com/46813-Caterham-profits-reverse-by-more-than-30

The Under Dash Mysteries - What the heck is this?
breezy7 replied to Nick OTeen's topic in General Tech
I remove the PATS when leaving my Caterham in places like a hotel parking lot overnight. The fuel injectors are disabled when the chip is removed. It is not visible in the photo but there is a tab that is pressed to disconnect the sensor from the wiring harness. I loosen the velcro holding the harness and drop it down and release the sensor. I doubt the Caterham UK part would work with a USA Zetec but it is the same idea. The ECU is programmed to see the specific chip it is mated to, a bad or lost chip or a new ECU would have to reprogramed to each other. Mike -
Seems a pretty quick exit after the recent changes. Link to the announcement http://hosted-p0.vresp.com/843201/58447cc6af/ARCHIVE Mike

I want to change the serpentine belt on my Zetec SVT and was wondering what and where others have purchased. Does the belt from the stock SVT work? I think the belt tensioner is in a different location so not sure I can use the stock belt. If nothing else I will take off the old belt and take it to my local parts store, did that when replacing radiator and heater hoses. Mike

Do you plan on going? Any idea about the number of cars? 7's? My wife and I are using the meet as an excuse to drive the back roads of Arkansas and do some retirement scouting of the area. Northern and central Arkansas have some great sport car roads. We will be driving our Miata not our Caterham . My wife has explained to me that it is wrong to take a Japanese car and not our British one to this event. We will be staying in Hot Springs Village, attending the car show there for sure and will probably wander around the activities in Hot Springs as well. Anyone else here considering going? Mike

I have decided after a year of debate to sell my Caterham. The chassis was purchased from Rocky Mountain Sports Cars and I did the assembly in early 2006. The engine and gearbox came from Caterham USA. The car is a Roadsport standard sized S3 chassis, a 185HP Zetec SVT engine and 5 speed transmission. The interior has a quick release Momo steering wheel, cloth seats, carpet and heat insulation kit. Weather equipment includes a full top, top bag, heater and windscreen. Over the years I have added half doors, wind deflectors, half top, tonneau cover, wheel locks and radiator mesh grill. the tires are Falken Anzei RT 615 with ~6000 miles. Located 40 miles from St. Louis MO. Titled in Illinois as a 1965 Caterham 7. The car has ~13,000 miles. $34,000. Contact me at mikeyguard2000-fidget@yahoo.com Mike
