  1. You need a huge head porting and cams with huge lift and high duration to bleed off enough compression to allow for such a high compression ratio on anything other than race gas. How will you do this to his stock cam? Retarding alone will not help, the car will severly run like zhyte. I can do that too. Tell me about his stock cam @ 12:4 cr. Even Houdini can't untie this problem. Sure 10:1 will run in 93 octane, In math, the minimum and maximum you can run safe is what I indicated. You can do + or - but that is not the safest way. Mathematic is not "none or all in above". I used Motec and electromotive on those days, I sit down and bang my head to calculate what its needed before I do the "filling the blanks". I know exactly what you were doing, you relied in auto configuration. It gives you the best possible value (could be in the middle or below) but not the exact one. It's a hit or miss. More power to you....I know you always have the last say.
  2. Ok--through calculation, the limit of 93 octane is between 9.2 to 9.3 cr. You can get away with 9.7cr using 93 octane but you need a big cam that has plenty of overlap, so how da h3ll you can tune a car without replacing/calculating the cam @ 12.1? To complicate more, its actually 12.4:1. this is your final or corrected compresssion ratio(FC). You need to add the corrected altitude. FC- (altitude/1000)x.02 then your cam selection. Blackcatn2o mentioned he has a stock cam and that's all he got. He was asking if he can get away with what he got? My answer is NO!!! He has to spend so much money through parts and a knowleable tuner who knows all the algorithm parameters instead of filling the blanks modern software today. Pay attention what he was asking. You really need to know the dynamic compression ratio. Your motor only sees the full static compression if your intake valve closes at bottom dead center or before. There is no guessing game here. Changing injector & trimming alone will not do you any good. With the big race cam, you have a late closing intake valve. The DYNAMIC COMPRESSION IS THE VALUE TO WATCH! Your piston could be 1/4 way up the bore before the intake value closes and your engine only capture 3/4 the cylinder volume. His cam is sTOCK!!!! Kaboooom!
  3. You really need to find a very knowledgeable tuner or you are pushing the envelope. The tuner has to concentrate on VE table, hi/low octane spark tables, retard & knock tables. In my estimation, the engine will explode using 93 octane with hi-compression. Why not up to 14.5 cr and use a good fuel?
  4. ...mr. india & mr. philippines said --- good! we need MORE OUTSOURCING job.
  5. Finally... I convinced Westfield http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/8983/megas2000.jpg The options is about 10,000 pounds more & no engine & tranny????
  6. .....vtec - kick like 2 strokes...hold on, then the supe --- hold on more!
  7. @ 0.58 you can hear the rpm raised up -- seems you hit a bump and lost traction. One of the coldest town in connecticut is limerock. The track heave a lot during winter. They are bumpy, narrow and unforgiving track. At the bridge before entering the straight way is my nemesis.
  8. oooopps---hijacked thread? he can't sell it now.
  9. Well, I have the chassis dyno to prove the mighty X-flow was "unleashing" 95 hp at that particular gun fight:). And 93 lbs of torque. Too bad Mr Vette:). Our se7en's pretty much ruled. I will take care your anemic 95hp with this turbo used for drone & stihl chainsaw competition---> so next time u beat the Aventador. http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/5834/picture001kqn.jpg
  10. "Definitely some bruised egos especially when one Corvette driver found out Kitcat was running a Crossflow" I pressumed that crossflow has 1.6/1.8 pinto block and has a power between 140 to 160? So, bring on that 370hp Ford focus TURBO and see what it can do (as I suggested before). If he beats it, he'll make more money turbocharging some of your ZETEC.
  11. During the 60's,70's & 80's turbocharging was not that popular. Most old timers learned how to harness power in aspirated form the proper way. Then the explosion of turbo installation in the middle of the 90's and the present. The software mapping then (like electromotive/motec) are not for novice & not user friendly. You have to calculate so many parameters needed by the software for the engine to run properly. Ex..injector parameter-duty cycle- time on for one gama - throttle position-fuel enrichment-starting/acceleration/decelleration enrichment-mat voltage compensation-warm up parameters/volumetric effeciency & correction tables of the air fuel mixture & boost- advance table-coolant-ego-knock-idle- and many many more. On the later part, the mapping software like AEM EMS were becoming easy & almost plug and play. The availability of turbo "made in china" flooded the Ebay. The young wannabes, think they know a lot --- turbocharging simply a cheater (similar to nitrous system-easy power-inhale and exhale & u blow) and no brainer to install. The rice boys was born with joy stick in their hand but without understanding the engineering behind a combustion engine. You argue? I told you I have millions of turbo(i will not lie) and I know about turbo & supercharger next to GOD. http://www.mjmturbos.com/Graveyards.htm
  12. "I have built 180-190 HP to the wheels Zetec and yes I know what thay can do , I will never understand people that say they dont need that much HP , nice thing about turbos is you can lower the boost if you dont need it , remote switch on my steering wheel drops mine from 24 to 16psi 500hp to 280 hp at the flick of my thumb " First, before you argue with MOPHO or any of us, have u driven a seven at the road track? Do you know anything about a sevenesque car? Do u own one? If you haven't driven one at the track, it will be hard for you to convince 7 owner's with 170-180hp that they need more. They will prove you wrong --- power is not everything. So, why not bring your Focus & run with Croc & the boys, see for yourself. These people are running a lot in New Jersey track. Better yet - bring your 657hp focus and run with Westtexass2k at the "run & gun" or texas miles....maybe you'll change your mind.
  13. But Westtexass2k has linear horsepower --->>he has supercharger not a turbo -- it's like an instant coco mix. Power is always there ---fr low to hi.
  14. aidanparte curious why you dont feel a turbo will suit Sevens well ? I can't speak for aidanparte - but I had one in my Hayabusa 7 and it's darn hot and no matter what, I can't dissipate the heat out of the engine bay. Hayabusa seems to produce more heat, add a turbo you have a furnace. i added a spal fan but quickly drain my small lightweight Odyssey battery. Heat is my issue. As long as you know how to factor or size a turbo, intercooler & piping (no more no less), It's not the turbo installation issue. Anyone can produce big number hp in the turbo trim. ...but are you gonna be happy & functional the way you want it? I have millions of turbo & i've been there.
  15. very nice! mine ugly cookie monster compare to that!!
  16. I bought the Rotrex from someone who initially installed it to his BMW, then I bought the Kraftwerk CNC bracket (not the whole kit, I can't use the whole kit). From there, I progressed doing all the fabrications. I didn't spend that much. I'm only running between 12 to 14psi (more than enough for the street use). My intercooler is calculated. You can't put too much or you lose pressure and velocity. I have 3 bar map sensor - adjustable fuel regulator - AEM EMS & 750cc siemens injectors (hi-empedance). I can change the pulley to boost more but there is no need. My radiator somewhat independent from the engine compartment. The heat of the radiator is not blowing to the engine bay. My radiator is build in to the nose and the heat exit at the top of the vent. Check this pic : http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/2817/sevenradiator.jpg So, I don't have problem putting an air to air intercooler (except I put a air deflector). As a matter of fact, i added two oil cooler (for rotrex & engine)...still a lot of room.
  17. I know it's not easy to fit the supercharger but I planned and able to do it without much trouble. The key of easy Rotrex installation was the CNC bracket and by not putting a dry sump. Notice I still have extra room ? I installed air to air intercooler -- oil cooler for the rotrex supercharger & oil cooler for the Honda s2000 engine. The S2000 engine & Busa engine ideal to put a supercharger instead of turbocharger. The power is linear. Having an anemic torque on both engine also ideal to use a supercharger. My last engine before the s2000 was the Hayabusa turbo & will not do it again -- way too hot. http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/222/img3304a.jpg http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/4951/img3303zt.jpg http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/811/img3305og.jpg/
  18. do you miss the Z? still have my original "zap-Z" but now with rb26dett
  19. I did that today --- that helps, much better now.
  20. I don't have a problem with people having different views, I have a problem with people spewing hateful garbage which is exactly what the OP did by starting this thread To suggest I was the one who spewing hateful, then I don't know what you smoking. It's your President in the video who is dividing the Americans. It's him who spewing hatred and division. You play the video and listen. The word "lazy & free takers" are my answer to what he implied that I'm not playing fair. His tone was a threat to me & angered me with his lies. LAZY - ABUSER - & FREE TAKERS reververating to your eardrum was not easy to listen, i know --- only applies to those who are guilty of abusing the system. The deficit, the debt and the wastefull stupid! You research and you will find that the takers outweight the payers. You cannot build a successful or better country if the takers outweight the payers....plain and simple! I'm straight as an arrow & straight shooter.
  21. ...do you have s2000 rotrex setup?
  22. Who said I don't care for the poor? I hired people who are disabled and minorities. I tried to contribute & improved my community. I give where I want to give but I don't want to be forced where to give and be labeled as unfair person. No one will care for me if I'm below the ground...no one! Let's separate & pay attention to the need of the poor vs the most despicable lazy people -- who lived day by day and take free stuff. Something has to stop with this wasteful spending and gigantic deficit.
  23. Karma? bullcrap! -- I've been in karma since Oboso & the administration came to the white house. I used to have 13 employees down to 5 - how much more I can survive with this wasteful spending & distribution? Why I need to distribute my income & labeled as unfair because I work hard and gamble my money? Distributing someone's wealth is not what this country was all about. It's about our choice and right where to give or spend our money. I'm in the same boat with this man: http://obamashlamadama.com/YT-embed/are-you-kidding-me.html
  24. I know exactly what this man was trying to convey --- "shape up, or no food stamps are coming" I'm pretty accurate with my assessment. He's the foodstamp president and the people he said did not play the fair game was me who work my tail to the ground. The tax money I paid last year and a year before enough to feed a bunch of lazy people for a year - white - black or rainbow does not matter....yes, my bad because I don't play a fair game.
  25. IF THIS DOESN'T PISS YOU OFF, YOU GOTTA BE BRAIN DEAD !!!!!!!!!!!!! DID THE PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS SPEAK ONLY TO THE WHITE PEOPLE? THIS GUY WANTS TO START A REVOLUTION IF HE ISN'T RE-ELECTED.
