  1. Bob, I would like to build that, but will need some BRIGHT LED's. Are the ones you used as bright as production brake lights?
  2. :iagree: I strictly follow a "don't ask, don't tell" policy.
  3. With JP Morgan's purchase of Bear Stearns. Let's see... dropped 47% on Friday to $30 / share... sold at $2 / share on Sunday. Wonder how other banks will fare in market valuations :ack:

  5. I tossed my odometer a while back... maybe I should go find it :leaving:
  6. Honestly, I don't think I've gone past 100 in Frankn7 yet, and that would've been on a VERY short spurt. My speedo has a peg marker, so I'm pretty sure this is true. Maybe later this year at a track somewhere...
  7. You mean like this? Twin turbo LSx in stock bodied (not tube frame) vette - pegged dyno at 1500 with a little more left in the tank. Seriously though, more power will be coming. I think I can actually use the extra mustard. But I'm going to stay normally aspirated. My car is heavy enough as is - no need to add more parts to it. http://nick.bac0n.net/c5.jpg
  8. pretty fancy something more normal... this is the Holden cover (black from factory) http://www.weblite.com.au/template/files/4929/Edited%20Images/MR%20TRIM%20Engine%20Cover.jpg
  9. heh, I won't need all that plumbing to add another 150 horses
  10. Last one   I can easily do the others. I think the best one would be the aussie Holden cover, which is a one piece job across the engine, rather than 2 cosmetic valve covers. I'm SO far from that point

  13. WTH is going on down there with the weather?
  14. I can't believe you're actually parting with it (believe it when I see someone else post pics of their new "orange"). I know it's a perfectly rational decision, but emotionally I'd have a really hard time letting go. Driving it won't help either.

    G8 ST

I know the "El Camino" effect is too redneck for everyone here, but this would make a nice little tow "truck" for those with LIGHT sevens (if you don't have to carry a family). The G8 sport truck can carry up to 1,074 lbs and tow up to 3,500 lbs. 6.0L V8, 361 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque and the engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The G8 sport truck reaches 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds. Of course you'll have to make sure your seven is faster than 5.4 to 60. You can't have a tow vehicle faster than your seven  http://www.thetorquereport.com/2010_g8_sport_truck7.jpg http://www.thetorquereport.com/2008/03/post_3.html
  16. man, that sounds like a ton of fun.
  17. What did I do?
  18. loose driveshaft bolts :willy:
  19. congrats, and happy motoring!
  20. Sounds a little like what I'm actually doing to my car  Move the engine back a little, move the roll bar, etc...
  21. Bob, do you know what % anti-dive you are running? right now I'm targeting around 50%.
  22. mid engine 4 banger, but 1650 lbs? almost as heavy as my car, but without the power
  23. How much anti-dive do you have built into the front geometry?
  24. This is as part of a redesign of the front suspension pickup points, so that will be my true static ride height, with camber, toe, etc... analyzed throughout the range of motion, not just lowering the ride height on my existing design.
