  1. Actually, Busa LIKES the new look
  2. Ian, I guess you have missed the last few days. We changed the forum color scheme and banner, as well as put on some sponsor ads. There are a couple of threads about it in the general section. The white-on-black has had mixed reviews. Some people like it, others don't. As the location thing, Jon is just stirring the pot
  3. Doing a calendar for charity is a great idea. Let's see what Al and John V have to say on the subject. We need the source pictures donated from their owners.
  4. Here you go

  6. Bob, that's gotta be one of my favorites, just because my car is in one piece in it  I'm surprised no one has posted this one yet: http://home.comcast.net/~cobar/MOABTOPAGE_177.jpg I can't remember the source... JohnCh????
  7. Yeah, the wheels rock
  8. Oh, the small things in life... So I finally rigged up my contraption and tried it with one of the already destroyed pieces of tubing. I only had a small straight section to work with. So far so good. I guess tomorrow I'll try to ruin my other good 8 foot section  Here is a pic of tonight's results: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1674167425_CIMG2298.JPG
  9. Bob, on mine, the bracket goes all the way around the axle tube which puts alot less stress on the welds during acceleration: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/966412997_CIMG2164.JPG I can't take credit for the design. It has held up fine with no signs of cracking.

  11. I doubt they have 1" dies
  12. I just uploaded this one... seems to work OK. I have been experiencing some slow load times and have opened a ticket with the hosting provider. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/613979396_sweetjesus.gif
  13. Yes, I had seen his bender. Pretty nice. And that's what I started to work on. My bend radius is only 8" though, so it will be tough with that style of bender.
  14. Well, after trying multiple ideas and ruining a couple of perfectly good DOM tube sections, I am about ready to make one last attempt at doing the large radius curved dash tubing. I tried the bender board idea. I was able to bend a tube about 30 degrees before getting a nice kink. Should have gone a little slower - but even then, it does put slight dimples on the inside of the tube. Next I tried making dies for the harbor freight bender I have laying around... again, slightly kinked bends, which I'm not interested in. I'm going to try the proper way to bend it next... If this doesn't work, I'll move on to doing smaller radius bends with a flat dash bottom. I need a couple more pieces to try a bend with this thing... Since the tubing is .050 wall, hopefully MDF is strong enough: http://gickr.com/results4/anim_e4275fbb-3737-99f4-ddd5-73fe2fecdf2a.gif
  15. oh man. Sorry about the damage, but it's good that you found it while the car is not moving. Fosters sound good to me.
  16. I remember the days when it was pretty much just Rob and me
  17. Calendar would be cool.
  18. There is always Steve's favorite with the headlights :leaving:
  19. Video 1 Video 2
  20. After something like that, I'd be more shaken than mad. Lucky he didn't get hurt. It sucks in a major way
  21. 7evin will be sending me the vids to upload. I'll post up in the morning... the earliest i've been to bed this week has been 2AM. I get up at 7:30, so it's really catching up to me...
  22. I'll leave it to you and Al to see what can be done. I have zero artistic talent
  23. Rob, which one is the "warmer blue setup"?
  24. Boy, I spent at least 15 minutes in a similar position while trying to bleed my cluth with the old setup. Except I had my back on the floor and feet near the roll bar :ack:
