  1. Some pics as promised... This is my friend Shau-Chi. He and I go back about 20 years. Knowing me, he figured if he sits there long enough, he will eventually have a complete car around him from the parts I'm removing from my car http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2031562458_CIMG2033.JPG This is a "before" shot of my oil pan problem... By lifting the motor higher in the chassis, I will be able to drop the chassis and lower CG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/635943986_CIMG2030.JPG This is how it will look when done. Look Ma, no pan! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1713270052_CIMG2036.JPG This shows how far the seat will move back in the chassis. The roll bar and back plane will move back too. If you look carefully, you will see a horizontal member about the height of the tunnel, and about 6" behind the plane of the roll bar. That's where the back plane will move to. Engine and tranny will move back about 3-4" as well. I don't have a pic of that. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1160196666_CIMG2034.JPG Arya has already started fab on the new tunnel. when done, it'll be 3" higher than before, and will tie into the major chassis cross members in front and back. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1753804673_20071216_233628_1.jpg
  2. Franken7 is alright... I guess my car is locost (or is it highcost) now
  3. I will contact you after I receive the order and inventory everything. I should be able to accomodate your request. Thanks.
  4. the earliest Rotus still in existance. This weekend we (Arya and I) started disecting my Rotus. The car is now gutted (again ), and this time the center tunnel, rear section of the frame, pedal box and shelf are all gone. So after this round, the car is not really a Rotus anymore. I have to find a new name for it. I will post pics later, but after much hacking, the engine passenger compartment, and roll bar will move back in the car by about 4". The engine and tranny will also move up into the chassis about 4", which finally gets the oil pan in line with the lower frame tubes, allowing me to drop the ride height of the car (and center of gravity) significantly. The center tunnel will get narrower and taller in the back, allowing for more hip room, and slightly wider in the front to accept the bellhousing better. Also, the tunnel will now be fully triangulated at its front and back as it ties back to the rest of the chassis. The dash will be redone and tied in with the center tunnel. Dash will be narrower and slightly higher (due to higher hood line), Trunk tubes will be beefed up to make for a much stronger trunk area and support the rear members of the roll bar. Raising the engine within the chassis also allows frees access to exhaust ports, so we will make a set of long tube headers to free up some more ponies (approx. 40hp) Seat supports will properly accomodate my seat belts. Pedals will be switched to floor mount Battery and PCM will be relocated from the passenger side shelf to the area directly in front of the passenger footwell. With all this, new rear skin and hood / nose will be fabricated. There are many more details. I will post pics later...

  7. The people in this thread have: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=638606&highlight=revenge Very funny read!
  8. Congrats! I'll have to come up and have a look-see sometime
  9. At 7/7/7 Tony Vaccaro and Dino were talking about which adheseve to use to just glue the fender on with no fasteners. Tony had done it several times with great success, and I believe that's what Dino was doing at the event. Drop Dino or Seth a line. Their solution was very clean. No holes.
  10. I'm gonna post something just to see if you are awake. YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY BE SLEEPING THE NIGHT BEFORE THE KIT ARRIVES
  11. too bad it has two zeros at the end of the price. otherwise i'd be all over it
  12. I got an email from Jean the day before yesterday, saying the packages should ship the next day, which should've been Tuesday, Dec 11th. He said he will send tracking numbers as soon as he has them.
  13. heh, would've been more appropriate if 77 people were online on July 7, instead of July 18 No, I'm not making that up. Once a site gets "discovered" by google and yahoo! search bots, the crawl all over it to index everything. That's what caused the high count.
  14. I have a '99 convertible  More of a daily driver now that I have the seven to play with

  16. Another vette owner! What year? There must be 4 or 5 of us here.
  17. From what I understand, I really don't have much say in what the police will do after this. I will tell them that I prefer to see them prosecute, but at this point it's between them and the guilty party, and I'm out of it since they admitted guilt. It's a bummer. I would really like to see a consequence for them besides "here is my insurance info".
  18. I smashed my monitor and jumped on my desk like a monkey
  19. alright, here is the latest... My wife stopped by 7Eleven. They do not have an outside camera. But while she was there, she drove around the nearby office buildings and FOUND THE MORONs car The police contacted them and they called us tonight with their insurance info. The girl was driving her mom's car... supposedly she let "her friend" borrow her car, and "her friend" hadn't told her about the accident . I guess "her friend" is a coworker :nonod: Anyway, talked to their carrier, and they said if the owner denies they were driving the car, then we have a problem. I said yes YOU do, because I have eye witnesses who can describe her. She said she will call them and get back to me. She did, and they are covering it. Funny thing is I asked her if they admitted there was no "friend". She said that there was a friend, but they're covering it anyway - heh, this would be the first time an insurance company covered something they didn't have to  So, off we go to their adjustor to see what happens.
  20. reminds me of the moron who hit our van last Friday. I found out where the biotch works. She will have a not-so-nice morning at work tomorrow.
  21. If you buy a Radical, you HAVE TO post about it here!

  24. I also tried this in my Honda minivan, and the data rate seems slower. GM has a proprietary faster data transfer mode (it's generally referred to as 4X mode), which i believe this unit uses to get very nice throughput.
  25. This is somebody I know :leaving:
