  1. http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/9782/ferrari2dw4.jpg bet you didn't get the right answer
  2. actually, the T56 has a reverse lockout solenoid... You have to be at an almost complete stop to go into reverse. This is because reverse is over by 5th gear.
  3. I don't have a tranny that can shift to reverse like that
  4. Great pics. Post up some facts and figures about your car here as well.
  5. man, you guys are posting about the wrong kind of meat in this thread :leaving:
  6. Wait, I have brand new rear rotors and pads... half price to you. It might be cheaper if you started with my old Supra rear, which already has the right brackets welded.
  7. I'm not sure what my sched is, but if I can make it, I'll come up. Are you guys talking about Aberdeen? Also, is the autox a DC region or Philly region event?
  8.
  9. How big is your vid file? can you email me? mazda_ebrahimi@yahoo.com
  10. No, it's not similar. You have those two nice little humps in the hood in front of you, which we don't have - that's something I plan to try. I'd say with no windscreen of any kind, up to 50 it's comfy and cool. 70 is tolerable, past that, I'd rather wear a helmet.
  11. I guess I'm used to a big hunk of metal for the engine, so it's not so easy to get it to stop spinning and reverse directions.
  12. sorry for the distraction, but what the heck is that black thing parked next to the Cobra? http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1606062899_grn%20xr7%20rr[1].jpg
  13. Is this something specific to BECs? I mean the possibility of the engine actually spinning backwards after a spin? I never heard of that happening, but I guess it can.
  14. Left foot breaking is worth learning. I don't do it personally, but I've seen some very successful drivers put it to good use. with paddle shifters, the clutch would just be on a dead stick rather than a shifter. Anyway, if that's not something you'd consider, I'm not trying to talk you into it . I don't see why your idea wouldn't work.
  15. I don't know why any of the bike guys haven't incorporated a hand clutch into the shifter anyway, to do away with the clutch pedal altogether. We had this setup in our Formula SAE car in the late 80's and it worked fine. With the clutch pedal gone, you can put a dead pedal in its place, and you can also very easily learn left foot braking. Just my .02
  16. I don't know, but I can look them up again on Monday and ask.
  17. around DC, some might call that a super speedway
  18. Gert, there should be local places that do that. I was looking for replacing mine at some point, and found a local place that does custom cut windshields for hot rods, etc... I think they wanted $90 and a couple of days.
  19. Look around at celicasupra.com
  20. ... and his formula Atlantic??? http://www.race-cars.com/carsold/march/m722x1/m722x1pf.jpg
  21. I don't know if Folis hangs around the forum much, but apparently this is a picture of his Formula Ford from back in the 70's at VIR http://virhistory.com/vir/74-oct/7410-jm/7410-jm-04.jpg
  22. '02 Z is pretty fast, but not that fast by today's standards anymore. It's funny how in the last 6 years cars have gotten so much quicker. It used to be that a 13 second car was FAST, 12 second car from the factory was unheard of. Now there are a handful of production (I mean REAL production) cars in the 11's :willy: typical 200+ hp sevens will run equal quarter mile times compared to a stock '02 Z. And remind him that for every HP you add, he has to pay for 2
  23. Does he have a new Z?
  24. Rob, you can buy a Torsen LSD for your rear for $400 I think
