  1. Some of you may remember my car suffers from a condition where under hard (and sudden) breaking, the front wheels go to a hop rather than a slide - not all the time, but sometimes. With my high unsprung weight, I've upgraded to stiffer springs, and cranked up the shocks (both rebound and compression). I *think* it has helped, but not eliminated the problem. I'm already running heims, so i doubt joint flex is causing this. Any other ideas?
  2. it's an Aussie comedy show, making fun of current events
  3. Awesome! Except the robbery part :nonod: Bumper looks nice. Looks like it's missing some offroad rally lights

  7. Mike, that color looks great on the ultralite
  8. Lumpy nose cone.... I will gladly hang that work of art anywhere in my house
  9. Also, something to be said for quick turnaround web piece, vs. polished print article. Both excellent in their own way
  10. Dermot, it's spitting rain off and on today, so we didn't go camping. I can't join you for the blat, but I'll be there for a cup of coffee at 9AM tomorrow. See you there

  13. Cobra? Donor? http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/forums/images/smilies/smilie_thud.gif I wouldn't trade my seven for a Cobra, but my vette will be gone in short order for a properly done Cobra replica.
  14. BTW, share some pics of that car.

  16. Jim, welcome aboard. Not trying to drive you away (we love seven enthusiasts - car owners or not), but you can find alot of useful info at locostusa.com. Definitely hang out here - you will find seven owners as a friendly bunch. Also, try to arrange to get a ride in a variety of sevens to see what you like, either in terms of brand, or general characteristics - perhaps a bike engined car vs. a high strung 4 banger vs. a V8, etc... By their nature, sevens are not "seen one, seen them all" kind of cars...
  17. 7 out of 7, on your 7th post

  20. Did u buy the rad ultralite with the engine sticking out of the hood? And whereabouts PA? Can you come to the autox on the 13 at Aberdeen, MD? Even if not ready to run the car, just to hang out
  21. alright, here is a stupid question... why not just make a very short cylinder (maybe 3 or 4" tall), drop it in a small up/down ramp, and call it a day... no linkages needed. It will have a direct ratio, so if you select the diameter of 1.78", 1000 lbs = 100 psi, etc... It'd be much cheaper to build.
  22. heh, I rewired my car with an EZWire harness last year... Somehow I managed to wire my cig lighter without a fuse. I had a faulty accessory plugged in on the snow shoe blat. As I'm driving, I plug it in, and smoke comes pouring out the dash. Talk about freaking out. I pulled out faster than... well, it was fast

    Hello World!

My first ever post from Linux! I just installed Linux on Virtual PC. Don't quite know what to do with the new OS... Feel like a fish out of water at the moment. At least I can still browse the forum
