I just remembered a positive story... One of my classmates was called in to one of the towers to be laid off by American Express that day. He had gotten advanced word, so decided NOT to go in on time. :crazy: He eventually got hired by the FBI for counter terrorism :thumbs:

BTW, if you want to read something that recalls what we were all going through that day, read this thread on the corvetteforum. As you look at the timestamp of the posts, you'll notice that site gets alot of traffic, and for many, that thread was their only source of news (if they didn't have access to TV). I vividly remember that day. I had taken the day off to go down to VA Beach to play at a corporate golf outing at my brother's company. It was a beautiful sunny day. We couldn't believe what we were watching when we got to the club house. We had heard a plane crashed into the WTC, but no more, so we assumed it was a little single engine plane. Boy, were we wrong. Two of my classmates were killed at the Pentagon that day. I graduated from my MBA program that December. I had NEVER gotten that emotional in my life, when their wives got up to accept their diplomas. :flag:

ah, I saw it in the ZETEC thread... Not to worry, at 550hp, I'm pretty sure you won't have much trouble. there is ALWAYS somebody faster. On another forum I belong to, I saw a guy who has an Atom and an Ultima. I was asking what he thought of them... He said 0-60-0, Atom. 0-150-0 Ultima. 0-200-0 Ford GT (which also owns). 0-327-0... the guy's name is Eddie Hill :lol: I'm sure that rings a bell with some of you.

If I had the extra $$$ laying around, LS7 would be a no brainer for me. But that's pretty pricey. The best value in the LSx line right now is a stroked LS2. Rotus is pretty heavy anyway, but the LS1 is about 430 lbs, including accessories and manifolds. I'd say that's only 100 lbs heavier than an all aluminum 4 banger. The think I like about it, is the power is SMOOOTH, there is never any surge at any speed. Very predictable, and very reliable. Can sit in traffic all day, or be ragged on all day, without too much strain. And if more power is desired, it can go pretty high with mods.
