  1. You could hurt yourself doing stuff like that. That's why I went with the LS1. I can look at it, think about lifting it, and say HELL NO What was this thread about anyway
  2. I think Maryland requires bumpers. This guy I knew bought a Caterham and had ALL kinds of problems with the delivery. Finally got the car - tranny went out on the way home. 4 months later, got the car back. Took it to DMV, and they said "you need bumpers" He got so fed up with the whole thing, he sold it. Fortunately, my car is a historic, so nobody even looked at it  Just bolt on a temporary metal bar as bumper, and make sure it's the right height.
  3. Forwarding to wifey right away. Can never plan too far in advance
  4. Only as I approach 200 MPH  http://media3.guzer.com/pictures/bike_wind_face.jpg
  5. For those of us with kids, there is no choice but the summer
  6. 40's is definitely very cold. you will need winter cloths. Think of a 45 degree day with 60 MPH winds. As of right now, I'm planning on coming without a windshield, but maybe I'll just put it in the car - just in case. Bring a hat, like a ski hat, neck warmer, and maybe even gloves. The worst part will be leaving snow shoe Sunday morning. We may delay leaving till 11 to let it warm up a bit.
  7. I do have a full face helmet on. I have about 5 hrs of driving on Saturday. I plan on wearing the helmet for the highway, and taking it off for the backroads. Small stones aren't too bad. Windshield doesn't help with those anyway. Most of 'em hit me by bouncing off the rear fenders first. Oh, and thanks for the compliment.
  8. Well, I just took the windshield off. I have to leave the posts on, otherwise I'll have no mirrors at all. Introducing the Rotus "Aero Package" BTW, if the car looks a little "bent", it's because the back passenger side of the hood doesn't quite fit snug :nonod:. Drives me crazy, but not crazy enough to fix it I guess. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1352613888_CIMG1805.JPG
  9. No, Rotus is coming back. I'll take her up again in Oct.

  14. Steve, if I could borrow your 150 hp, maybe I can catch Bob
  15. Where have I heard that before?
  16. Just got a message from Kevin Kearney... he is out.
  17. Welcome aboard. 911 is a fine car. Seven is a way of life  I'd give you a ride, but I'm near the wrong bay (Chesapeak Bay - DC area). If you're ever here on business or something, there are plenty of examples of various sevens you can get a ride in. I'm sure one of the California peeps will chime in.
  18. Bob, a handsome dude, walked into a sports bar around 9:58 PM. He sat down next to a blonde at the bar and stared up at the TV. The 10:00 PM news was coming on. The news crew was covering a story of a man on a ledge of a large building preparing to jump. The blonde looked at Bob and said, "Do you think he'll jump?" Bob says, "You know, I bet he'll jump." The blonde replied, "Well, I bet he won't." Bob placed a $20 bill on the bar and said, "You're on!" Just as the blonde placed her money on the bar, the guy on the ledge did a swan dive off the building, falling to his death. The blonde was very upset, but willingly handed her $20 to Bob saying, "Fair's fair. Here's your money." Bob replied, "I can't take your money, I saw this earlier on the 5 PM news and so I knew he would jump." The blond replied, "I did too. But I didn't think he'd do it again." Bob took the money.

  21. man, this stirs up some emotions...
  22. All, route and times are updated... please look at the first post in this thread. Text is in large font in RED
  23. Back when I switched forum packages, I decided to resize large images in order to keep the text from scrolling to the right if images were too big. In some cases, such as here, the size reduction makes the image useless. XFlow7 suggested through a PM that I make the image clickable (only for images wider than 600px), so the full size image shows up in a pop-up. I just put this feature in production. Report any bugs if you see them, and no, the code does not add zeros to the dyno chart. That really is a 1500 hp dyno pull.
