  1. There is at least one member here (Old Yellow) with a rotory powered Rotus. I think there are several other rotory or turbo rotory Roti running around.
  2. Jim, as soon as the shopping cart opens up, you can either purchase a membership seperately, or if you register for 7/7/7, it'll be part of the registration. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/cheers2.gif

  4. As most of you are aware, we've been plugging away at forming a national club. I'm happy to say that 2 days ago, we received final word from the IRS on our nonprofit status. That was the last piece of the puzzle. There are currently 9 ten-year members: Mazda Ebrahimi (slngsht) Jerry Eddens (powderbrake) Al Navarro Steve Taylor Scott Lentz (951n914) Magnus Scott Nettleship JohnCh MichaelD (hopefully I didn't miss anyone) The contributions from these folks have helped pay incorporation costs, 1st year of insurance, and hosting fees for the next year. The club shopping cart will open the beginning of January. It will be used for paying for memberships and club sponsored events (such as 7/7/7 and the pacific northwest tour). Currently, Al is serving as President, Jerry (powderbrake) as Secretary, and I'm the treasurer. We are serving temporarily until July, at which point club elections will be held and members can elect club officers. One note... You will notice starting tonight that google AdSense will appear at the bottom of the page. This will make the club a little bit of money (proceeds go to the club account, and club books are open to club members). The club can earn up to 35% of its revenues from sources other than membership fees, so this will help in keeping fees to a minimum.

  7. OK, by popular demand... >HERE YOU GO! Please read the sticky topic in that section. Rules are pretty simple and will serve to keep the section organized. Now let's see 'em http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/cheers2.gif
  8. This section is for showing off your rides http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/thumbsup.gif A few simple rules to follow: 1- To show off your ride, please start your own thread. Do not post pictures of your ride in someone else's thread in this section. 2- Only start one thread in this section. To show us more pictures, simply edit your original post, or reply to your own topic. 3- Please try to keep picture widths at 600 pixles or less. Feel free to post specs, performance numbers, videos, etc... here.

  10. Anyone else for or against this?
  11. As others have said, Cobras and 7s are both tons of fun - in different ways. I drive by an exotic car place on the way to work, and they have 2 cobras sitting there. They are - beautiful. I wouldn't mind having one at all. You should also look in the used market. 20K will buy you a decent cobra or seven.
  12. I have... I got QA1 double adjustable shocks. My springs are very stiff (get lighter ones). What I have are: Front 225, Rear 175. I think my car came with 110 lb/in springs or something like that. I got them from autofab race cars in Baltimore, MD. As long as the springs are not scratched to pieces, you can exchange them for different rates. I don't remember the lengths I got.
  13. Rob, great pic! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/lol.gif Merry Christmas to everyone. Have a safe holiday, and happy modding. May your trees be large enough to accomodate the mod wishlist http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif

  15. If it's truely that overpowering, then it's a good engine... they just need to have a smaller version of it on the bike.
  16. Robert, the first drive is always memorable. I'll never forget that with any of the toys. Congrats.

  18. were you cranking it? maybe it sucked some fresh gas in? even the slightest amount of actual liquid in the cylinder is REALLY bad news... even if it's gasoline. It's not compressible, so when push comes to shove, it's usually a connecting rod or another piece of hardware that will give way. Be careful
  19. Probably none of those... First suspect is cam design - perhaps harley goes for more torque at the low end and sacrifice top end power. Second is combustion chamber design - maybe they're just not as good. Less absolute power is not necessarily a bad thing. In my opinion, hp/liter is the most over-rated way of determining how "good" an engine is. The things that really matter are packaging and weight considerations - like power / weight of engine; and brake specific fuel consumption - how efficiently the engine produces power. Also, unless it's hooked up to a zillion speed tranny, and you want to shift all the time, the dynamic range of the engine is very important. Another way to look at that is the area under the torque curve. You may have an engine that makes great power numbers between 8K and 10K, and everybody goes wow, but the engine that makes more conservative absolute numbers between 2K and 7K is a better engine IMO.slngsht2006-12-18 07:00:03
  20. perhaps it was gas? water won't be a good thing. I'm betting that with that much water you would hydrolock and cause alot of damage.
