man... tell me about it. This car holds the lap record for a street car at the 'ring, yet there is no vid of the run online http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/toetap05.gif
  7. One thought... the General section is sort of aimed at member rides, reviews of the latest bling, etc... It can definitely be broken apart though.
  8. I think they are nicely done. There are marks on the sides where the aluminum is rolled. I'm assuming they can be sanded down and polished completely. I mounted one of them, but my brackets weren't stiff enough. I'm going to take it off and come up with better brackets. At the moment work is going crazy, and the car is in the shop for a head/cam package. I had clamshells, and I got rocks in the seat and my hair all the time. For the last couple of months I ran with no fenders, and there was really not much difference (bad either way). I think fenders mostly make a difference in shieling water if the road is wet.
  9. Not hard at all. It's a good idea. Anyone have any objections? If not, i'll whip it up this weekend. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/cheers2.gif

  15. I've been super busy at work lately. Are y'all busy shopping? modding? working?
  16. To be honest, I'm as excited about the additional revs, as I'm about the power. My red line should go from a whopping 6200 to a screaming 6700 ( I know some of you are just past idle at that point http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif ). I just hope the idle won't be too lopey
  17. Sorry man... I have my vette up there for a new clutch and 4.10 gears, and couldn't find someone to help me pick it up. What better way than to drop the Rotus off and get the head/cam done... Half way up to Baltimore I remembered that you were coming this weekend
  18. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/willy_nilly.gif Big question is how to get headers in there. I'm hoping some standard header application will be close enough. Custom headers will cost too much (either time or money, or both) If a decent set of long tube headers fit, the engine should put out just over 500 HP at the crank. Otherwise, it'll be in the low to mid 400s... Hopefully the rear will hold on the dyno.
  19. From time to time Gail and I sell something on ebay with 100% of proceeds going to St. Jude Children Hospital. Here's the latest one... Spread the word http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/cheers2.gif >http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=170060025507&rd=1&rd=1
  20. Go easy on the guy... If I'm not mistaken, the race was already over, and he was on the cooldown lap. He hit a patch of coolant. Getting out of the car was probably a mistake.

  22. I wouldn't put my card through it then... In all the shopping sites I've been through, I recall only one that didn't have a secure payment system. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/nonod.gif
  23. To be honest, this guy (at the EVO school) wasn't very good. My times were better. The school I normally go to (SCCA DC Region - Brian Garfield) has an awesome instructor. I have yet to see him not post a faster time than the owner of the car. He beat my time in my vette by 1.5 seconds (40 second run) the first time he drove it. I can't wait for him to give it a shot.
  24. to beat a speed camera? YouTube Video
