  1. yeah, i totally forgot about that... the first Buggy was piloted by a teenage boy. He gave me a wave
  2. contact AutoFab racecars in Maryland. I think they sell QA1 springs for $30 a piece, and stock most sizes. That's where I bought my stuff.
  3. that's what the Machinists say. LOL
  4. Rofl. When Hank said that, I knew skip wouldn't be far behind
  5. I never understand these lists... Integra Type R is #22, ahead of NSX (#29), Mclaren F1 (#71). Corvette Z06 and ZR1 are not even on the list, while Nissan GTR is the #21 "Driver's" car with all its launch control crap.
  6. Problem with late model vettes is the nose clearance - it scrapes everywhere. Sevens don't have a front overhang, so that's not an issue. As you have seen with the posts, it's generally the oil pan and bell housing that's the problem, and generally only on speed bumps.
  7. we didn't see the bikes... Just his Olds, which was gorgeous, and his twin engined monster.
  8. In my case, it used to be the bottom of the bellhousing that always hit stuff, even though the oil pan was lower. I got tired of worrying about it, and raised the engine a bit - now I have lowered the whole car compared to before, and the bottom is totally flat.
  9. on the vertical legs of the roll bar.
  10. my head is SOOO still in the mountains right now
  11. heh, I look worn out in that last pic
  12. well, it does have the same styling of the cowl. i doubt if that makes it a knockoff.
  13. heh, best way to autox is take the 1st run at 75%. nice and easy drive through the cones. (yeah, sometimes I don't follow my own advice). sounds like you had some excitement though.
  14. damn, CA and NJ have an azzkicking contest going on.
  15. Vodka was by the pit where we were grilling stuff. I was pretty happy
  16. Oh, and the highlight of the trip was the neighbor's garage. This guy built himself a small block boss hoss, the decided it's not enough and did another one with a 502. He does everything himself, including building his own house, nicely restored 59 olds, and variety of his farm equipment. The surprise of the day was one of his abandoned project in a shed. I'll let Jack or Dean describe it. Typing this message from my phone
  17. I don't have any first hand experience with that engine, but make sure if you go the dry sump route, make sure it solves your ground clearance problems. In my case, even though the pan was the lowest part of the car, the bottom of the bellhousing was the part most frequently hit
  18. it started raining here an hour after we made it back
  19. pic one: Greenbank observatory pic two: George Washington National Forest. This straight section is RIGHT after an awsome section of twisties that has a combination of sweeping, steep turns up the mountain, followed by series of quicker switchbacks.
  20. here are some pics from Jack and Jen's camera: Pic one: Seneca Rock Pic two: Waiting for next victim Pic three: Jack @ snowshoe Pic four: View from 2/3 up the mountain Pic five: Horses resting up for Sunday's action
  21. there are tons more pics and some vids (I'm sure Jen recorded them so they show us going 2x actual speed). I'll post up some pics later. I think Jack and Jen are planning of putting some sections of video together as a compilation. I also have some decent viedo of Jack's car from my rear view cam that I need to post. They are on their way back to NJ this morning.
  22. he probably bought an ariel Atom. here is a pic from the snowshoe cruise. This is after we finished our drive on Saturday.
  23. Yup, Yesterday, Jack & Jen, Dean G and Claudia, and I went on a 8 hour blat 8 hours of some awesome traffic free roads. We did have to pass a couple of cars along the way.
