  3. I have a few NEW Caterham parts laying around in my shop I'd like to get rid of: Caterham muffler/catalytic combo with 4 into 1 collector. http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/1/2545/3361/6361680127_medium.jpg Rear fog light, red. Ford transmission gasket. Caterham throttle cable, barrel on one end. Caterham U-joint with half the drive shaft attached. Make me an offer I can't refuse.

  5. An update: The Caterham is still available and the price is negotiable. I'm guessing something in the low $30s would take it home.
  6. Three part video about autocrossing a 40 year old Europa. Parts 2 and 3 will automatically present them selves at the end of each segment.

  10. The first sports car I saw was a new 1953 Corvette. A salesman brought it by our house hoping to sell one to my father. He didn't buy it but I got a short rideI had no idea that things like Corvettes, MGs, Austin Healeys and such even existed. A few years later a neighbor bought a 1955 Corvette with the V8 engine. I was entranced with the car and the wonderful sounds it made. Then a few years later another neighbor bought a 1957 Corvette which I got a few rides in. These experiences had a profound effect on me. I eventually owned three Corvettes, a number of British sports cars and lately many Japanese sports cars. There have been very few years since I got a driver's license that I have not owned some kind of sports car. I'd love to own a ZO6 or ZR1 but that would require selling the Caterham and that's not happening.

  18. One showed up at our C&C this morning. I didn't get a drive in it but got to sit in the driver's seat, start and rev the engine. A tight fit with no adjustment for the seat or pedals. About as difficult to get in and out off as my Caterham SV but not as comfortable and narrower side to side. When I started the engine the whole car started shaking side to side, much worse than the fore and aft shaking of an H-D. Even revving the engine to 3k didn't do much to quell the shaking. I suspect the car would wear you out after a couple of hundred miles. Even though it uses a Miata transmission, the gear lever is much longer which makes for a much longer throw. It didn't feel as smooth or tight as the Miata shifter. I didn't have my camera handy so I didn't get any pictures. This one was BRG with the bright (chrome) package. MSRP on it was $43k. Yikes, between that price and the shaking it is off my bucket list of cars to own.

  23. Great article, but why is he pictured sitting in front of a BMW when the article is about his Caterham exploits?
  24. Its really long:
  25. COTA just posted 2 videos of Lotus F1 cars around the track: (Andretti in a Lotus 78 or 79) (d'Ambrosio in a current-gen F1 car) (comments from d'Ambrosio)
