Should add I read the last stretch of Blue Ridge Parkway has been re-opened after Hurricane Helene. Should be some nice easy runs in there according to Blue Ridge Public Radio. https://www.bpr.org/bpr-news/2025-09-16/stretch-of-blue-ridge-parkway-reopens-restoring-access-to-craggy-gardens-and-mount-mitchell

Okay I was thinking of taking a 7 camping this weekend. Where we going? Have some buddies camping at a campground so would be totally do-able in a 7.
-
I love it. Looks good and also super functional.
-
lol no I’m good with videos. I’m not blending in anywhere in a Viola 7. lol. On that note, if people care, here’s a tiny timelapse. Yoram teaching me I’m a crap driver. Longer video later.
-
Okay to put videos on the wide weird internet? @Yoram

I’m around if anyone wants to cruise anywheres this Saturday Sunday (June 7/8). Got Intel that a new RMC kit was dropped in Asheville this week so soon enough there will be another 7 in the upstate/WNC lineup. Almost always up for coffee/food. If there weather I can even bring a car with, you know, doors. lol.

Hey, we’re in Greenville South Carolina and would be able to host a gathering and cookout before the drive. Negotiating with wife and entire household schedule.

Oh yeah. Late to the thread but we went. 7.2 and all. Great meeting Joe and that EXCELLENT 67! We wandered, a lot. Then ate, then wandered more. My usual cars and coffee tactic is arrive early then Irish goodbye about an hour later lol. This event was… protracted. For me. My first Euro. The hybrid theme was… something. No offense, but their copywriter could’ve done better imo. To be perfectly honest was a bit of a weird vibe for me. Only the 2nd “car show” I’ve paid to participate in…. The other was Special Olympics, for the kids. Anyways, some interesting cars. Strange to see an F40 reflected in a yellow Testarossa and *neither* of those win either of the Ferrari categories. Those were won by rather blasé Italians, in my opinion. Met some cool people though. Got a t-shirt. Stunner of a day. Would’ve maybe been better spent with a couple folks in cars on some twisty roads. But I had some kids sit in 7.2. Makes me happy that it makes others happy. That’s the entire point. That and blats and very tight curves. lol

100 percent will do. Asheville Cars and Coffee early this Saturday (April 19) with 7.2 and my son if anyone is interested. Held at Prescott Auto Reserve. 9-noon. I’ll be there early and Irish goodbye halfway thru, as usual lol. https://maps.app.goo.gl/fSc1sXvdJbtQ6Rrz5?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

@Austin David and I looking to do some curvy mountain runs in the upstate SC/Western NC and Tennessee areas. Tail of the Dragon and surrounding, etc. Good weather for it coming up. Any interest?
-
And thank you. I’m not super duper mechanically inclined in all areas (electrical by far my weakest) and stuff gets by me. It’s why I find pros.
-
lol me frantically googling.
-
Hmmm. I use this one and seems I might be okay. Don’t use it often and I have the same one for NSX. No issues. Whew. Y’all scared me.

Upstate SC what’s up?!?!? So excited. Very cool car. Let’s hot a Starbucks with @Yoram as time and weather permit. 7.2 paintings curing as we speak from a new nose cone (thanks Peepaw for backing over it!) but as soon as it is cured and PPFed I will be out and about. Should be late February.
-
AGM charger… hmm. I trickle my cars on a harbor freight whatever charger… should I check a setting? Real question. thanks in advance. j.
-
Epic lil machine.
-
Have one incoming from Redline Components. CC keenly aware I needed one. Just out of stock plus their move was upcoming now competed. Glad to have one on the way.
-
Many, many places I add the cone to basket to only find out it's not actually in stock, they order it when you order from them... Not exactly helpful. Nothing 7 related happens quickly in the USA, except the acceleration. Although maybe Caterham Cars fulfills vendor orders in bulk first rather than one-sy two-sy orders from individuals. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Funny you mention them! On Thursday I got an email back from Chris at Redline and on Monday they're back in the shop (from racing weekend stuff) and they're gonna get the shipping quote out to me and the nose will shortly follow. Now if I could just find a shop to pull it all apart and stick it all back together... Lol

Long story short, Santa Claus’ great grandfather backed over the front of one of my 7’s and busted the nose cone. I have emailed everyone outside the USA and I still need a 620 SV Nose Cone. Awaiting a few emails still, but they have been out of stock at CC for months now and I am anxious to be running around in this car again. For referencem this is what I need. https://caterhamparts.co.uk/nose-cones/6213-nose-cone-620-sv-only.html?search_query=620+SV+nose+cone&results=557 Any help would be appreciated. Thank you all. VR, J.
