  1. I believe I found it at Moss Part # 560-480. Says tapered seat...
  2. MV8, Here are the brake lines installed. Glad to help with any questions. V
  3. MV8, Thanks for the reply. That will work, ordered it! I plumbed the system already, so rather than plug the hole, I figured I would hunt around for a solution. Google search turned up everything but what I needed, as is often the case. Thanks again, V
  4. Hope all are doing well. Installing the brake system in my 1979 Seven. Using a Hydraulic switch. The only ones I find have a 1/8 NPT (pipe) thread and the 3 way is a 3/8 bubble flare. The MG and spit drawings show the threading right into the 3 way. Not sure if this is correct or what needs to be used to seal it? ie washer, thread sealer, teflon tape etc? Any inputs appreciated. V
  5. Hope all are doing well. Looking for suggestions, cross reference, or part #'s for brake hose set for live axle Seven with Gt-6 front calipers? Any info greatly appreciated.
  6. Found it at Tony Ingrams. Thx for all the inputs!
  7. Thanks, did not know about Hpe or Vulcan. Will give them a try.
  8. Looking for a Double width timing chain tension paddle for a cross flow engine. Have the double width chain and sprockets, but double width paddle is unavailable from Burton, Pegasus, or any others I checked with. Any help appreciated. Vin
  9. Looking for a brake line routing diagram or pics for a 1979 RHD with a dual circuit master and cast bracket mount. I plan on using the hydraulic brake light switch since the post for it is on the frame. Any info or guidance greatly appreciated. Cheers, Vin
  10. Dingo8, I see that is a Burton piece and they area available. I have the steel factory one I can use until I find what I want. The Ford Performance ones are back ordered from Ford according to Ivey engines. Cheers, Vin
  11. Can you post or pm me a pic of the polished valve cover you have?

  12. anduril3019, Thanks for the info. The Redmond ones look good. I had tried Ivey, they get from Ford which is n/a at this time. Cheers, Vin
  13. Shows as not available from Ford
  14. Hope all are good. Looking for a Ford Racing Alum Valve cover for my Seven project. Part # M-6582-16K
  15. Pokey, I would recommend these. The Tipler book I bought from John Donohoe at simplesevens.org and the Weale book I got from the U.K (Pooks Books). Cheers, Vin
  16. Scott, I found instructions on a Spitfire site, that you turn them up all the way, then turn down the minimum amount that will allow for full steering radius. Also, do not grease them, Use 90W gear oil. I got mine from Ken at D Beans, and they came with oil plugs to use instead of grease fittings. Cheers, Vin
  17. IamScotticus, Ken at Dave Bean has been a big help. One of the first orders for the car was all the missing front end parts (ball joints, trunnions, caliper plates, calipers, pads, bearings, races, and both of Beans catalogs. He has a wealth of knowledge, and is willing to share it. Cheers, Vin
  18. Appreciate the encouragement! The front suspension was all removed to be bead blasted and painted, so the body was buffed before suspension installed. The only rust found on the frame was where Lars had a rope around the tube above the steering rack to suspend it from the barn rafters. That area was cleaned up and POR 15 applied. The main frame paint was good, but I masked off alloy, then repainted visible areas. I used a scotch-brite pad and some aluminum boat cleaner on the alloy. I found a great kid (to me, anyway) Patrick, who is a car addict too, and owns Cape Cod Metal Polishing. He does the aluminum tanker trucks. Came to my place and spent 7 hrs wet sanding, then final buffing in the driveway!
  19. Steve, The mechanic I bought the engine from gave me a great article from back in the day on how to build an FF engine and have been following that, which sounds like what you have. As stated, I have the forged SCAT crank and cam kit. Trying to decide on pistons. What is the compression ratio of the forged pistons in yours? I can only find 11.9 or 12:1, and am thinking that may be an issue? Thanks for all the inputs. Vin
  20. A bit of a milestone, it's a roller now!
  21. Charlie, It is a 711M block. I have a set of Ford NOS .030 cast pistons that came in the boxes of parts with the car. Have a Scat forged crank and Kent performance cam kit. Thinking forged pistons and rods make sense, upgraded valves, and a set of roller rockers. Trying to determine how far to go with the engine for road and occasional track use. Vin
  22. Have the Weber 40's that were in the boxes of parts that came with the car. Sent to Jim Inglese, 8 stack systems for rebuild. He has been great to work with. Looking for 10 or 10.5: 1 forged pistons now...
  23. IamScotticus, The cat kit is for a 1600 cross flow per there description. I will check to make sure no issues. Also waiting on pics of one a member has for sale. Need exhaust to run in engine on test stand, however, hold up now is finding forged 10 or 10.5:1 pistons. Best wishes on your project Vin
  24. Good to know
