Ha!! But I wanted the Seven more Well at least the ankle biter will ride in style with his first car, a Porsche is better than what I started with He's got a little time to learn how to drive though http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs550.snc3/30129_394085668900_842533900_3930482_5361249_n.jpg Strange that there wasn't more action on the Porsche, figured that would have been more popular. My father is in the antiques and collectables business, so figured these would be a good investment Thanks for posting this Bruce, I don't spend any time on eBay, so never would have seen this. .

Got out bid by $5 :banghead: First time using eBay, I don't understand how someone can swoop in and add $5 at the last second when the maximum bid is supposed to be confidential :bs: .

The 550 is amazing too http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-550-Spyder-Porsche-550-Spyder_W0QQitemZ300423790453QQihZ020QQcategoryZ6058QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ht_512wt_1167

Hmm..... Yeah, I have been collecting pictures (only found a few so far) of that one in Colorado, been thinking I would try and build one someday for the little tike when he gets older, but this one is pretty nice. It doesn't have the trick suspension but appears to be better finished, especially in the interior (?) Have seen some replica 2/3 type cars go for really big bucks, so perhaps this ain't so crazy Thanks

You think it is worth that kind of money?
-
Huh? The reason for it is irrelevant and a whole other topic! The fact is these kids decided to to do this specifically on a mexican holiday to piss people off. really? Assume much? So why haven't the students been asked to remove said American flag shirts, etc on the other 364 days? :banghead: One more time... the kids wouldn't think of wearing American Flags on St Paddy's day because they are not trying to send a message to Irish kids, they specifically targeted Mexicans. Your point is irrelevant to what I am saying! No, you miss the point, it's not the fact that it was an American flag, IT'S THE TIMING AND THE MESSAGE THEY WERE SENDING BY WEARING IT ON THAT DAY!!!!!!! How hard is that for you to understand?!!!! They were basically giving the Mexican kids "the finger" by wearing it on that day, they were taunting them So you are fine with being stopped by the police and being asked to prove your citizenship when you are say, out walking your dog, or in a park with your wife and kids? And what if you weren't carrying ID ( I go out for walks without ID all the time), so they detained you at the police station until you could provide proper ID? You would be OK with that too? I don't have any more time for this, you're so wrapped up in the flag and your "patriotism" that you can't even see that this isn't even a patriotism issue despite what these kids families are trying to portray it as in the media See ya! :flag:
-
Because Mexican immigration is a hot button issue in this country and clearly these kids were trying to get a rise out of the Mexican-American students by wearing it on that day. Wrong! It's about some kids trying to show some pride and celebrate their heritage on ONE DAY OF THE YEAR and some other kids basically telling them to F*** Off! That was what was offensive, it had little to do with the flag (it even said in the article that if was any other day it wouldn't have been an issue), it was the timing and the message that was the problem! That's not what I said now is it?! I said I bet these kids didn't decide to show up for school wearing American flags on their clothes on St Paddy's day, point being they specifically targeted Mexicans Are you really comparing a random establishment to a school? Really? And I bet you would kick someone out of your establishment if the rest of your customers were getting pissed off about it and there potentially would have been violence. And as a matter of fact, I have been kicked out of an establishment for wearing a shirt with a flag that didn't jive with the folks inside. So you're a terrorist then :seeya: .
-
That's fine, but that's not the point, the law in AZ doesn't apply to just school kids. And BTW, my post about the ID was in reference to the kids wearing the T-shirts, i.e. they would have had to provide three forms of ID in order to wear a shirt with an American flag on it, you know to prove that they're a "real" American Cut the patriotic bullshit! This was not an issue about the flag, patriotism or liberalism ( I know what you right wingers were thinking ) this was an issue of a bunch of kids being bigots and trying to piss people off, and a principle trying to avoid having any trouble in his school, nothing more! What these kids did was no different than going to a predominately black school on Martin Luther King day wearing shirts that said "White Power!" I bet they didn't do this on Saint Patricks day .
-
And will those white kids also be detained for those 24 hours while they are coming up with said documents? I'm betting if white kids started having to prove their residency, their families would be crying that their civil rights are being violated in fairly short order
-
Even the white skinned ones, that is if they actually ask for id from white people
-
In Arizona they just would have had to show three forms of ID

Just because you see it on other forums doesn't make it right. It is a pet peeve of mine when people who don't even live in this state think they know anything about it and think it is somehow their job to criticize it. I come here to talk sevens and cars, not to be called a communist, socialist, or to be inundated with right wing political rants every time Obama farts! I don't give a shit about your or others political opinions and I am sure not interested in hearing it. Your comment wasn't funny or sarcastic, it was uncalled for and irrelevant. If you can't see that being left leaning doesn't equal being communist or socialist, well then I don't know what to say. Perhaps you should stop drinking the "Kool-Aid" I could say the same to you, since you were the one who took the humor of the commercial so serious Now don't you have a cousin to marry or something? .

Not one bit, I did my time

Don't be an ass, you insult those of us who choose to live in California with your ignorant right wing BS! Why is it you people can't keep this crap to yourselves on this forum? I am sure there are plenty of political forums where you can get on your soapbox without pissing off people who are supposed to be your friends in a very small community! .

Well gee, seeing how you guys are so smart, you should have also known that extreme winter (and summer) weather actually supports the concept of global warming. Additionally, weather and climate are two different things with climate being the average of weather over at least a 30-year period. So a particularly cold year or a lot of snow does not refute the global warming theory. Now this left coaster also was a right coaster and my belief in climate change falls somewhere in the middle (probably like most normal people), but here's the thing: If we follow the lead of the global warming scientists and they turn out to be wrong, the worst that happens is we spent some money, developed new technologies (that create new jobs and make people money), have a cleaner environment, better air quality, more efficient cars, more efficient forms of other transportation, cleaner energy sources, etc., and a bunch of teabaggers get to moan that somehow our "rights" were trampled and that our tax money was spent on something they didn't support. If we don't follow the lead of the global warming scientists and they turn out to be right, we're f**ked! :seeya:

I've driven that Bentley Supersports pretty hard on some canyon roads here, it is pretty friggen amazing car, couldn't believe how well it handled for a 5000lb car. It's the fancy pants Nissan GT-R Interesting, but not surprising results

I didn't have to do it either, but my car was previously registered out of state, so perhaps they assumed it was already done I think its a bit of a stretch saying that an WCM S2k is a replica of a 59 Lotus though. http://www.websmileys.com/sm/sad/533.gif . -
It's the same guy from the R500 vs GT2 battle at the Ring video I had posted a while back. He clearly knows how to drive. He said on another Caterham forum that they were messing around with springs and roll bar settings and the car became very tail happy, plus it was around 0 degrees Celsius with worn CR500 tires, so they made a fun video
