  1. Based on the way the economy is going and my debt to income ratio I won't be able to afford a Hotwheels when I'm 101. Kudos to him though!
  2. So a fat kid in a sled going down hill will have a higher terminal velocity than a tiny kid? PE = m*g*h
  3. I thought about a light, flatbed trailer with a single axle, but I convinced myself to get a tandem axle enclosed trailer. It's safe to park at a hotel overnight, there's redundancy in the second axle with regards to a blowout (4 tires instead of 2), weathering of the car (hail damage, rain), and the list goes on and on. I paid just over $3000 for my trailer. It's absolutely perfect for the Se7en, and it helped me move out of my house too!
  4. Damn, I really hope the dirt track racer can weigh her this week! Since I'm not weighing the car with me in it, I'll go ahead and tell you all that I'm 6'1" 175lb.
  5. I will be corner scaling the car this week *crosses fingers*. I hope under 1000 lb.
  6. The Megabusa experiences a tad bit of surging in the lower rpm band so I chose to start the run at 4000rpm. The dyno operator was a little slow on reaction time hitting the "sample button". It makes power below 4500rpm, I just don't want to damage anything. Besides, in a drag race, sprint, autocross or lapping day adventure the Megabusa won't experience anything below 4500rpm.
  7. Sure, as long as I drive!
  8. Yeah, but I'd like to know my top speed to determine if I top out on certain tracks or not. Hopefully the dyno owner is mistaken about the 117. Unfortunately I was busy looking at every other gauge but the speedo during the pull.
  9. WestTexasS2K is the winner with HP and pierats with torque. http://www.hanksmegabusa.com/images/111409/01.gif This seems on par with a stock Hayabusa engine without a power commander or other mods. I'm definitely happy about that. Although I hit the revlimiter in 6th gear (11,500rpm) the dyno graph stops at 9900rpm for some reason. The maximum speed was 117mph. I thought a Megabusa would go to 136mph, but maybe I'm wrong. I sent a text message to the shop owner to see if the Dynojet tach pick-up is limited to 9900rpm or if something happened during the dyno run. I know I hit the limiter, so as soon as he gets back with me I'll let you all know.
  10. Here in 2 hours I'll be putting my Megabusa on a Dynojet Chassis Dynamometer for the first time. 2006 Hayabusa 1300cc motor Pair valve & system removed Westfield long tube header Yoshimura muffler Any guesses on rear-wheel horsepower? Hell, I hope it has enough torque to turn the drum! Haha.
  11. Love the car and the new wheels definitely look good!
  12. I found a video of the SUV. Pretty good damage from the tusks alone.
  13. Damn, no pictures?
  14. Most men AND women around here already have an airbag, no matter what vehicle they drive. http://edgewriter.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/fatbelly.jpg
  15. I tried the baseball cap the other day and it blew off at 90mph. By the time I turned around in traffic 2 people ran over it. I wear my STIG helmet (white Simpson Bandit with blue shield) on high sun days so I don't get sun burned. If the sun isn't brutal and I ditch the helmet I wear a pair of safety glasses that are cupped almost like swimming goggles and they have an elastic strap as well. They aren't tinted though.
  16. Accessory #1 for any Se7en = FIRE EXTINGUISHER! You are a lucky man.
  17. Amazing what people will do without a full rollcage!
  18. It's all about sponsors nowadays. I bet Subaru sponsored the show and a lot of the commercials. Maybe if Westfield or Caterham had sponsored the show it would have been a seven in the spotlight. Sucks, I know.

  20. Can I have more pics of the Lotus Espirit Turbo please? Preferably without the "distractions". hehe
  21. I agree, beautiful scenery and I love the way your car sounds!
  22. Did I mention I had to tell each and every one of the ladies at Hooters NOT to sit on the hood or ANY of the fenders? Thank god they asked before a catastrophe happened. Some of them were heavier than others *cough* (gravitationally challenged).
  23. Hell, Martin, on that note I didn't take those photos. My friend TJ did.
