Regulatory. Three wheels is a motorbike. You avoid emissions and the tougher registration process that a car has to go through in all states. That makes it cheaper to design and make and ultimately sell.

There are so few who go this road that we see on USA7s - maybe 4-5 people a year. Its a lot of extra work for me to go searching different site unique to the UK. Also, not everyone in the UK will deal with an international buyer, particularly given the high rate of auto scams in the UK - I could list an option and it would not be an an option because of the seller. Some sellers will not sell to US or Europe as customs formalities are a PITA, i.e. it is not a clean quick sale. I am already sourcing parts in the UK where I have no USA option and I go over to pick them up and organize shipping myself - making a trip later this month partly for that purpose. It would be easier to take the Japan import route as that is largely turn key for a buyer although you have to hunt harder for the good value buys. But that option prevents any automated search approach because of the language issues. I have to do that one manually myself - takes too long. So on balance, I assessed no appreciable value. The Avon UK operations are expected to be replaced by existing plant in Serbia that already produced tires. Its not been totally confirmed how that will take place. I think it reflects that Brexit was not a success as companies shift to low bureaucracy lower cost places to produce products. That would seem to be consistent with the current UK molds being moved to the USA after UK production ends.

Both were remedied via the Caterham method. I never heard anything more so assume it solved the problem. I am familiar with PGM - myself and one other have had dealings with them. They know their stuff from their motorsport activities. I would expect their solution is well tested and works.

You mean like paint on truck bedliner (or to use the Australian - ute tray liner)? LineX is one brand but there are many other brands out there with the same purpose. Bedliners | LINE-X (linex.com) LineX is applied professionally but there are equivalent products that are designed for self-application. Look for Raptor Liner, Rustoleum, Duplicolor. I recall seeing the first two brands in Sydney over Christmas when I was there. Another alternative is Plasti-dip paint. Not sure how durable it would be in that application though. Only downside to consider is that the spray on applications add a bit of weight.

I would not necessarily trust that statement. I am aware of two 620s in the USA that have had the fix. I suspect their statement is more indicative of incomplete communication/collective memory with their USA dealers. It is correct to say that not all 620s seem to be equally affected - that is a genuine puzzle to me - one I put down to less observant owners.

There are visors for kit cars - google "sun visors for kit cars" to get ideas. But its an open top car, at some point the sun will be over the top of the windscreen. Most of us use sunglasses or a tight fitting visored cap. You could look at a Soft Bits for Sevens or Thundersports sun top that runs from windscreen to top of roll bar.

I think you will find the car has the race brake master cylinder installed. That gives a firmer pedal than the standard master cylinder. I would not recommend downgrading the master cylinder. However, it could also be that the brake pads are too hard a compound for how you are driving. They require some heat to provide friction stopping power. On a track you would have no problems generating heat but on a road it can be difficult to get them up to temp. Its a compromise if you are doing a combination of road and track. Did the previous owner set the car for track days? First thing to consider - do you need to use brakes? Most people over brake se7ens - too early and too much. Habit makes us do that. If you have adjusted your driving style for the capabilities of the car then second option is look to find a softer brake pad that is more suited to road use and gets hotter at lower speeds. Ask Hillbank what make/spec of brake pad they have on the car now? A few people on USA7s have been experimenting with brake pads recently and you can tap into their knowledge to work out what would be a step softer from your installed spec. Pads are an easy cheap change. No one does boosters on a se7en - its a 1250lb car.
