  1. The reason for strapping down the wheels only is simply basic Physics. This big mass back there is moving up and down as you go over rough roads. The suspension of the car mitigates any violent force from being transmitted to the straps or trailer. If you get a big enough strap or chain and completely stress the strap / d rings/floor enough to collapse the suspension , then the mass effectively becomes a part of the trailer therefore transmitting any violent force instantly directly to the trailer suspension. If not tight enough however, (springs not fully collapsed ) you will get the movement of the mass being pushed by the collapsed springs slamming into the straps and attach points. Not good. …..Not saying it won’t work its just not good physics
  2. Hook the trailer to the tow vehicle empty on a flat surface. Adjust the ball height (adjustable height hitch) so that the floor of the trailer is level front to back. This will allow the tires on a tandem trailer to wear equally and have the weight distributed equally. Next center the weight of the car directly over or very slightly infront of the axels and tie it down so that the car springs will allow the car to move up and down. Strap down only the wheels not the body or you will create higher shock stresses on the straps. The front straps should pull to the front and outside ...the back straps should pull to the back and outside. Hooking to the outside lower a arms works but is not ideal. Notice that long haul new car delivery trucks strap over each wheel. That means you would have to have 2 d rings for each wheel...perfectly placed . This won't work for my trailer.
  3. Wow! That would make a great poster.
  4. That's difficult to watch without your knuckles turning white.

  6. Kitcat You are correct Joe's car is a 3800sc L32 Stalker and is a Hoot to drive. The stock v6sc is very fast and importantly for me, reliable(unless i do something stupid..rubberplug instead of freeze plug) but until we got it on a track with other sevens, we had no idea how fast it was. The thing handles like a dream but, as always, when you get used to it .......it needs more H.P....It's a mental illness that i think many guys have. Gale
  7. He blew a rubber expansion plug that was in an unused port in the cooling system. (my bad) This dumped the antifreez onto the back tires resulting in the off track. Luckily it happened on the rattelsnake or he could have cooked the engine. We weren't sure the engine wasn't hurt til we got it back home. It's ok..still runs like a bat outa hell. Love those junk yard parts.
  8. Try searching... Stalker, John and Joe or try this link .............I was logged in when i copied the link ..that may have messed it up.
  9. Loren That is strange i only have a yahoo acct. and it works for me.
  10. The yellow car in front is John's 500hp Stalker with the wing on. The car with the camera is Joe's Stalker #119 http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=15633.

Box 16 7 Wisteria Way Allen, TX 75013 Whispering Pines, NC 28327-7131 Thanks for that effort. Costs are being worked up now and things look very much like last year. Plenty of track time and a nice post-track avent, probably a tour similar to last year's. I can take admin questions at any time--eMail is easiest. Looking forward to a good event! George Ron Dick ......................................................................................... Greetings Folks, This is our current entry list for the SW Se7ensFest at Cresson May 26-30. I expect a few more entries, and if you have leads, by all means, suggest that they get in touch with me. Here is the plan: Thursday, May 26: arr Motorsports Ranch and set up, afternoon track orientation for novices Friday, May 27: MSR Track Day, 4 x 30 min @ $35 Sat, May 28: Apex Driving School all day, $210 each (probably 8 sessions) Sun, May 29: Tour begins 0900; overnight Glen Rose, TX as last year Mon, May 30: Tour concludes 1200 at Best Western Hotel: Best Western, Cresson Here are the track fees. We have some funds left over from last year; thus, this year's track fees will be slightly lower, plus we will have new accounting procedures. Friday's track sessions offer us flexibility in charging you for only what you drive. For now, please submit funds for 4 x $35 = $140. Saturday, we do not have flexibility; Apex has invoiced us a flat amount; 18 drivers means $210 each. Friday 4 x $35 = $140 Sat = $210 total fee = $350 Please send a check payable to George Hillard; both track days ($350) or Saturday only ($210). I will serve as banker and will provide you a written statement of your charges, but keep in kind, Saturday is $210. I have flexibility for Friday. Questions? Send me an eMail! Look forward to seeing everybody. Send the checks to: George Hillard 7 Wisteria Way (good address, huh? "7") Whispering Pines, NC 28327-7131 See y'all there. George
  20. Has any one tried any other series of these EBC pads beside the green stuff? I tried the green stuff on a Stalker after removing stock pads and it was like adding power brakes to the car. So now i am wondering how yellow stuff will affect street braking. http://www.ebcbrakes.com/selector.shtml
