You are right. C5 zo6 is a steel. I have had a couple and they are the best I have had excepting the c7 zo6. C7s are driving c5 and c6 prices to crazy low prices. good luck finding your dream machine. Gale

Pavulon. If you want a sports car buy a corvette. A 7 may be a bit too visceral for her. Drive one on a cold or hot windy day. However There is nothing like it on a beautiful day. IMHO. Gale

sciff5 I agree fast is a relative thing. All this power in a car this light is a violent, visceral experience that is not for every one, but If you have the '' bad gene", you become accustomed to or addicted to the adrenaline pretty quickly. I have a c7 zo6 also and it feels like a family car by comparison but it is still a great car. IMHO my Stalker feels a lot safer than the Vett. I think it has a lot to due with the level of feed back you get from the Stalker. It must be the same in most 7s. You are much more insulated in the Vett and as a result holding it on the edge of traction is more difficult. When i have lost a c5 or c6 Vett it was usually with little or no warning. Pushing the Stalker close to the edge gives you plenty of feel for where the edge is. Holding it on the edge is a great feeling. The new Vetts have so much traction control crap on them to make them safer for your wife.......then add an automatic trans and it's a very fast SUV. I still love it .....but there is little comparison to a seven. In my worthless opinion. Gale

We are building another Storker with an LT4 engine. This is the stock engine that comes in a new C7 ZO6 Vett. It has 650 ft lbs of torque but the hp is only 650. We like the relibility of a stock power plant that runs on pump gas, after having continuing problems with a factory built cobra. The silver Storker has a stock LS7 that has been very reliable so far. Toyo R888s don't last very long but the car is amazingly fun to drive. Gale

Check this out. This guy is my hero. Arrived back in Naples this eve after 28 days, 10 1/2 hours. 11,366 miles to travel through all of the lower 48 states. Fuel ranged from 24 mpg to 32 mpg. Average day from start to finish including fuel stops and food was 11 hours. New Toyo R888 were installed before departure. Fronts were completely bald at 10,000 miles. Waited a day in Tenn. for new ones to be shipped and installed. Despite the rain, hail, some 40 degree days and muddy, rutted roads a great time was had. Highly recommend road trips in a Stalker. No other car is as much an attention getter. Skip The doors pop up to get out of the car. While the doors are open you push each one sideways and they come off and can be put in the boot. The entire top comes off also with 6 bolts and two special clamps. I did the design and fiberglass work, Lana does all the real hwork after I finish...sand, fill, sand, and paint. We are working on the third Storker....650HP stock LT4 family car. The new one is 4"wider for this old fat man. Gale
