  1. - red line: horse power. Peaked 195 @ 7400rpm (using rounded numbers) - blue line: torque. Peaked 144 @ 5700rpm (again, using rounded numbers) - other lines: maybe base numbers (stock/pre-build?) - red and blue lines cross: HP and torque are the same (roughly 142 @ 5200rpm) - WCF: weather correction factor. Corrections based on temperature, air density, possibly humidity and elevation. Looks like you may have dynoed on a day when ambient temps were higher than standard (ISA+). With the listed rebuild, sounds like chassis dyno numbers. With a 15% parasitic power loss (middle-of-the-road estimate), that would give you WCF numbers at the flywheel of approximately 230hp/170 torque. To reiterate Andy69’s answer, good numbers for a NA Zetec.
  2. Momentum track. Great vid, Mike. Thanks for sharing....I’m jealous. :driving:
  3. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing (and cruising in) Mike’s car. It’s an absolute pristine build. The build is very well thought out, and the craftsmanship superb. Stellar build.
  4. Not for sure, but relocating to Jackson, TN may be in the cards. If this pans out, perhaps we could get in a track event together sometime down the road.
  5. Andy, glad to see you are ‘living out the dream’. How for do you live from Memphis?
  6. OK, keep it up.....I smell a slam coming on. :toetap05:
  7. Maybe we can add our own NASCAR niceties such as Lap Dog (last place) or Lap Dance (the car that gets squirrelly and then decides to show its undercarriage with and airborne ballet. :jester:

  10. Mike, I’ve been on track with you. You are the exception. You are the awesome Kitcat. :cooldude:
  11. Just to reiterate Croc’s spot-on comments. Yes! Yes! Yes! Enough cant be said about the importance each of these, especially corner weighting. I can tell you from personal experience that proper corner weighting can make a huge difference in your getting through a ‘corner’ quickly, and safely. Proper tire pressures...ranks right up there with corner weighting. I’m not saying to put a wing on your car, but adding this in because I do drive a Stalker. And I run with front and rear wings when on track. FWIW, with my current staggered wheel/tire setup, when running on slicks on a damp/slightly wet track (yes, with slicks), my car absolutely pushes through the turns. This not to say that I don’t get oversteer as well (Croc can verify ), only that the tendency is for understeer. Example; I did a two-day event at COTA in November. It rained the entire two days and the temperature never got above 50 (proper tire pressure comes back into play here, as well). During those two days, I had more predictability with my slicks and would simply drove (guided) the car through the corners using throttle (more throttle, more push....less throttle, less push). in short, pay close attention to what Croc is saying...it’s gold.
  12. Looks fantastic, Mike!
  13. I’d smoke the tires as well. :jester:
  14. John, Have you considered a CF aero screen? Install is simple and straightforward.
  15. :smilielol5:.....wait, is that lightning bolts coming out of the sky? :smilielol5:Bob, be honest, these cars are like crack cocaïne, too many are nearly enough. :smilielol5:
